Help using ATI Overclocking tool for X1800XT?

hi,

I've just got myself an X1800XT but have it max'ed out to the 690/800 speeds in CCC after the flash to the Sapphire XT-PE bios. I've been doing research and it seems that the only way to overclock the 1x00 series is with the ATI overclocking tool, which I found over at TweakTown (couldn't find it anyplace else). When I try to execute the "Overclocker.exe" executable I get a "No Valid Devices Found!! Requires an ATI Radeon RX5XX Based Adapter!" error. Is there a particular place these downloaded overclocker tool files need to be before they'll work?

I'd appreciate any/all help, thanks!

Follow this method and you should be fine.

1) enable CrossFire mode
2) open taskmanager (crtl+alt+del) and close the two Ati2evxx.exe services
3) Use ATITool Beta 10 and set your fan speeds and voltages and clockspeeds for each card (7100 is slave, 7109 is master), set cards to equal speeds

How would they enable crossfire when they dont have it?
There is a Atitool beta 11.
i dont have to do any closing of ati services.
I would recomned uninstalling your current drivers and CCC then installing the 5.13s. try again.

My apologies on the cf part.
Closing the 2 ati services will keep the card from jumping back and forth from 2d/3d mode. This process works perfectly when ocing the x1800xt, just disregard step 1 in prior post.

I havent come up with this info on my own. All this info I have gained by reading the XS forums and testing myself. Maybe beta 11 has stopped some of the issues, i am not sure. Just trying to help..
