Huang reportedly told PCWorld that he finds the Radeon VII "underwhelming" because "the performance is lousy and there's nothing new." And that wasn't his only jab at AMD--Huang also said that Nvidia's G-Sync essentially has no competition because AMD's FreeSync doesn't work.

Quote:
But it's at least a little surprising to hear Nvidia's chief executive dismiss the world's first 7nm gaming GPU and claim that most FreeSync monitors "do not even work with AMD’s graphics cards." The former is based on speculation; the latter is outright baffling.

It’s a little surprising to hear him dismiss the worlds first 7nm gaming GPU? No, he’s entirely right .. the card is as disappointing as it can be. It barely keeps up with a 2 year old 12nm arch..

Saying freesync doesn’t work is BS thoufh

Imho,

Amd would be in a world of hurt legally if they did that. Even if they did amd would lose so much revenue and gamers would just buy intel with nvidia hardware. Amd needs geforce gamers to buy amd cpu's and motherboards.

not if Intel did it to ( who is heading Intel's new GPU ? ) and you have to prove it is intentional and not just a bad chipset driver

I seem to remember SLI not working on Intel MB's
maybe a NV GPU license fee ?

and I remember NV blocking PhysX with a AMD GPU just in the system as they could not trust AMD drivers in the system

….

but I don't think AMD would even if it would be poetic justice after all the crap NV has pulled over the years

A sli license and you're talking about using a nvidia gpu for gpu phyx with an amd card. Neither was anti-competitive. What is-is the control of x86.

what would Huang do if he had the x86 and not AMD ?

I think he would have killed ATI long ago with it

Honestly, AMD must have something up their sleeve. These things probably wreck worlds in 4k, especially in CFX.

Agreed but..... software follows hardware, once comes before the other. I don't know WTF happened to TR but next month's Metro should have it.

Square Enix happened to TR. This is par for the course with them. If you don't make 50 billion dollars right out of the gate you get relegated to the **** you pile.

Look at Deux Ex MD no DX12 even though they said the engine was built from the ground up with DX12 in mind. It took months before DX12 was even implemented and an even longer wait until it was out of beta.

Nier Automata never even got a patch and had to rely on a 3rd party to fix the game performance.

Final Fantasy 15 is RIP as far as DLC goes and they barely got DLSS out the door.

Now here we are with Shadow of the Tomb Raider it didn't sell all the copies in the world and was like 50% off within a month of being released. Doesn't bode well for RTX being high on the priority list. I'm sure they'll **** it out the door eventually but I feel sorry for those who were hyped to test a selling feature of the game.

Vote with you wallet and tell Squeenix this **** doesnt fly cause it sure as **** isn't gonna get any better otherwise.

Lol do you remember why Nvidia stopped making chipsets for Intel motherboards? They were awful but that was Intel's anticompetetive behavior. Intel is the king of anticompetetive behavior. How many fines and lawsuits have they lost?

I want to know when Nvidia plans on supporting Freesync on Gsync monitors. So you know, If AMD does release a powerful card I can use it on my Gsync display and make use of Freesync.
