Default Will there be OLED monitors?

Will LG make OLED monitors considering they are the ones who will be making OLED TVs?

I certainly hope so. They need to figure out a way to increase the lifetime of the blue LED. It lowers the overall lifetime of current displays.

Don't oled displays have issues of their own? Like burn in?

LCD's have burn in too. It just takes a long damn time for it to happen. Burn in as a whole is a very manageable issue, and is a lame excuse for holding onto LCD. As they get closer to getting the Blue emitter to having the same life as the Red/Green emitters, it'll get more difficult to burn in the screen, but you will have to treat them the same as Plasma either way. The great advantage of having each sub-pixel self-luminate, is the reason you end up with 'burn in', basically by constantly displaying a fixed high contrast image, you will age those sub-pixels quicker than the rest. LCD's are like Corolla's, slow, boring, and but they get the job done, and you can hop them up, so they'll be faster. PDP's and OLED's are like a Jag F-type, fast, fun, but have more maintenance, but in the end the Corolla will never out run the Jag, but on the flipside, Plasma has a longer life than LCD because the back lights are what give up on LCDs...

Anyways...

The main issue with OLED at the moment, is that it has a short life compared to LCD and Plasma. Especially the blue LED, it seems that they can get it close, and seems a work around is sizing the different sub-pixels, Blue is twice as large as the Green sub-pixel, while red is slightly larger than the green sub-pixel. It's kind of interesting to read about how they are dealing with the aging problems.

LCD for my purposes covers the misuse by the unwashed masses of calling them LED... Yes, some are LED back-lit, edge and full grid, and some use CFL back-lights. Also rated life is from 100% brightness to 50% of it's original brightness.

Thanks for the replies.

Going slightly off-topic here but any comments/opinions on LG OLED vs. Samsung SUHD vs. Sony 4K? Will OLED TVs have any issue with the upcoming HDR implementation? From what I've read is that OLED cannot go as bright as LCD/LED. However, LG has stated it will be releasing an OLED HDR TV in Q3 of this year.
