I think the Metroid one gave the best impression of it (in terms of the depth given by the 3d). That and the Zelda demo.

as far as the 'analog stick' ... i thought that was just used to change the 3d perspective and not for actual 'gameplay'

200-250 ... day one purchase

more ill wait ... less i may buy one for both me and the kid

I think with them planning on releasing Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time again, both these games were built to use the analog stick so it was required. It looks like it's for gameplay.

By the way the RE5 demo was running real time on the 3DS. People were able to move the camera around at E3 just like they could on the other 3d demos. MTengine ftw

http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/8...first-screens/

2d Screenies of 3DS SF4 and Resident Evil.

those custom shadery code available in the graphics chip must be real easy to use compared with custom coding Wii's TEV stuff.

Any word on pricing? Over 200 dollars would be too high IMO. Id get it if it were less than 200.

Nintendo love the $199-250 pricing. Dont expect them to sell it for over that range.

God damnit. The more I see this thing, the more I want one. And I hate handhelds.

Screenies can only show you the graphical capabilities of the handheld.

And yes it looks like the only way to see how the game looks in motion i to see it in person, cuz even videos have a hard time capturing the 3d.

according to wikipedia the DS started off at $150, and the DSlite was around $130. DSi went up to 170 and the DSi XL i think is like 200.

Yah Im sure they'll sell it for $199. Maybe and a big maybe would be $250. But I see them doing the $199 route. And yes its confirmed. Im buying one now. Think Im pretty much destined to always be surrounded by Nintendo stuff.

I think I'm about there too. If it's between 200 - 250 I'm in.

it can't even do that because the 3D is part of the graphical capabilities.

Wat. A 3D cam corder could easily record the DS in 3D.

Yeah, but without a 3D monitor and glasses, I can't see it anyways

And even if I had that, it doesn't mean I'll even get an accurate representation of the effect.

You would get the same effect with proper viewing hardware.

A poor mans solution is a pair of Red/Cyan plastic glasses and converting the 3D video into that ugly red/cyan format and cross your fingers

or using the crosseye method so you get full colour. For still images you can also use the animated wiggle/Piku-Piku view method as well.

Nintendo 3DS Coming Out Next Year

On the Jimmy Fallon show, Reggie Fils-Aime was a part of Fallon's game week where each day a new game was shown off on his show. Reggie went on to show off the new Donkey Kong Country game as both him and Fallon played the game on the Wii. When saying that the DS was his favorite system, Fallon asked about the 3DS. Reggie says he can show it if the crowd was excited enough and they sure were. From his pocket, Reggie pulls out a 3DS in which Jimmy Fallon was incredibly excited to see as he watch the new Kid Icarus was playing. When asked about the release of the system, Reggie stated that it would be out next year. Not a huge surprise considering how new the hardware is, but Nintendo will miss out on a major selling time this holiday when gamers would much prefer getting the 3DS over the Kinect and Move.
