Default Fallout TV series...

Well, this could be interesting or horrible depending on how they decide to handle it. It's turned into a big world with a lot of story over the last couple decades. I suppose I should watch Westworld to get an idea of what they do with storylines and settings.

Hopefully it's not as generic as the game.

I don't feel like there's a whole lot of story to tell based on the games. It's more of a setting.

So it will probably just feel like a generic post-apocalytpic world show with a bit of Fallout dressing on it.

If the TV series doesn't have progression breaking bugs, or flying 200km into the sky suddenly from a explosion, then it's not Fallout enough.

That's kind of my worry, or that they will try to retell one of the full games in TV format, neutering it in the process.

If they wanted to lift from the games directly, they could spin out some of the DLC with strong story lines but not a lot of complexity. I'm thinking along the lines of Honest Hearts, Point Lookout, or Lonesome Road. Mothership Zeta would be doable but kind of goofy, and Old World Blues might be a bit ambitious for a TV audience (and two seasons all by itself).

NO. PRESTON. GARVEY.

Meh, people flying back 50' from a shotgun blast is something people are used to seeing from B-grade action movies.

Turn the bug into a feature - Fallout has simulator pods. The writers can put the bugs and crazy physics there. Maybe to let the protagonist figure out they are in a simulation...
