Legacy of the First Blade was alright. The real winner though was Fate of Atlantis. Really enjoyed it

Played a bit of NFS Heat since people been praising the game is good. Some good things include wide range of cars and tons of customizability for race, drift, off road etc. but I suck at drift in this game even with everything is put for drift setup perhaps because of the 'tap throttle to slide' thing. Not a big fan of cop chases and the story is very weak like an afterthought. Overall the game don't make me feel all that good and not really enjoying it.

Tap drifting works better than how drifting worked in NFS Payback. Play with a keyboard for best experience.

Story in all these games is typically garbage.

I never play NFS Payback and heard bad reviews about that one. Perhaps I need to time the tap better to make drift better.

Yeah true storyline is not NFS strong point but this one is just all over the place.

Payback is better than Heat in my experience. However, both are F&F wannabe games. I played both using my Origin yearly membership so can’t complain.

Heat does have a learning curve. Once you are past the 2 hour or so mark everything will become a breeze. Also you have no chance to win unless your car level is about 5-10 higher than the event level. I typically even went ahead and had upgrades of about 20-30 before attempting events.

Finshed AC Origins Main Quest a few days ago. I liked the ending but I still thought Odyssey had the more epic ending.

Started TLOU2.

My first two hours have been a mix of total awesomeness and frustration, as my PS4 gamepad appears to have a faulty left stick. Every now and then it wouldn't read my input accurately, or deny me certain angles. Not bad enough that I immediately realized the issue wasn't with the game, but bad enough that I can't keep playing like that.

Soooo I borrowed my brother's PS4 pad, cleaned it (ewwww) and now I'm back to lesbian zombie porn Part II.

Signed up for Xbox Game Pass, since it was $1 for the month again. Thought I'd try to get back into The Outer Worlds. Glad I did, but it seems like it ended kinda abruptly.

Old guy was telling me there's so much to do, then some kind of story slideshow and....... back to the menu. That was disappointing, but a fun game anyway.

Also plowed through The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Final Cut. Loved that game. Might consider replaying down the road as something other than a hunter.

I just finished this as well. That battle against the big mech felt like a final boss battle to me. I was surprised when Phineas was talking like there was more stuff to do. But he was talking about rebuilding the colony. His speech was a bit misleading, but it did seem like the proper place to end the game to me.

Completed Beyond Two Souls (PC edition). Other than the occasional wonky camera/controls it was a fairly enjoyable experience throughout. The game unfolded in a non-chronological order by recalling important moments in the primary character's life, and it worked pretty well.

It's certainly not a game everyone will enjoy as it's a typical David Cage game where the cinematic story is more prominent than the gameplay (which has many QTEs). But for those who enjoyed similar games (like Heavy Rain) then this would be right up their alley.

I've got the PS3 version but haven't tried it yet. I played a bit of Heavy Rain and just couldn't get into it. Just not my thing I guess. I like more gameplay in my games. Figured Beyond Two Souls would be more of the same. I might try it someday if my thoughts on the genre change.

You play walking simulators no? This is just that with some QTE and branching story thrown in. Definitely more story than garbage games like Hellblade or What remains of Edith Finch.

I play waking simulators on very rare occasion, when they seem interesting to me. Have not played the two you mentioned. I think the last one I played was SOMA. But that's pretty close to a more traditional game.

Its definitely not a genre I play much at all. I prefer more tactile feedback gameplay loops over these walking simulators that are essentially interactive movie experience type games. For me it can get very boring going long stretches without any need for the finger dexterity I've built up over 30+ years of gaming.

I only chimed in because I happen to have a copy of Beyond Two Souls. Looks like the story could be interesting but haven't tried it yet.

Finished Agent A: a puzzle in disguise and really enjoyed it. Can understand why it's highly rated on steam. Good puzzles, bit of humor, good design. Only wish it had less "backing" out of screens to navigate places.

The Innsmouth Case was trash unfortunately. It's basically setup to entice you to find all the endings and that means going back through the same content over and over. Encapsulates everything I hated about Choose Your Own Adventure books.

Started Days Gone. Good graphics but after playing TLOU2 feels like a poor man’s zombie game. Think will stick with it for a while to see if it improves.

Completed Detroit:Become Human, had a great time playing the three protagonists, seeing the plot unfold through their different points of view. It was an enjoyable experience throughout as David Cage took his formula to the extreme in this game, providing many different outcomes and branching paths to every individual situation while polishing most of the "clunkyness" present in the previous titles.

The 'butterfly effect' present as well, where small changes/items/objects could have a big impact later down the road. Managed to keep almost everyone alive and ended up with a good ending, which felt rewarding as there's many chaotic situations throughout the game which can affect the end in a way you don't want.

Glad I took the time to play it, though as with typical David Cage games it's definitely not for everyone, if you don't mind gameplay via exploration, QTEs, and occasional timed events then its worth a playthrough. If you think you messed up you can always replay the chapter from the main menu to 'overwrite' your previous save.
