Considering both the Cougar and the Focus share roots in what was fords "New Edge" styling at the turn of the century, not surprising to make such a connection. That said, I think the only connection I can make is how the head lights sweep back. But that is hardly some thing unique to the last gen cougar.

So I guess they are keeping the Kentucky plant producing SUVs and trucks?

I drove a pontiac g6 on my floriduh trip. The interior made me want a new car. Since I'm nevar buying GM again, ford is looking more and more like my only choice. I might buy one of deez if I can buy a house this year. Or I might just wait to buy a used one in a year or two.

After finishing off an enviable year for a domestic automaker, Ford Motor Co. won both the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards presented Monday at the start of Detroit's North American International Auto Show.
Do I correctly understand that the nature of this award automatically disqualifies potentially better vehicles manufactured by non-North American companies?

If so, is it even possible that the award could have gone to a vehicle that wasn't made by GM or Ford? It just sounds weird... Like a baseball league that only admits teams from North and South Dakota.

The G6 made you want a new car? The G6 has a god-awful tacky interior. How old is your car if you think that is decent?

ASCI is impressed with the new Focus design. Boost that little bitch and it would be a contender for the SI/GTI/MS3/Cobalt SS.

The award is for vehicles AVAILABLE in North America. IIRC the Genesis won it last year.

See... I rented a PT cruiser last year. Interior was worse than my 2001's car's interior.. and it was a newer car.

The G6's interior may not be the prettiest, but it was leather.. so it felt toighter than the plastic interiors I've been used to. The seats felt sturdy, etc.

I guess I haven't been around too many nice car interiors eh?

Fiesta is too spendy. Or maybe inflation will make our paychecks nice and fat.
