The first one was a lot of fun, despite the clunkiness, I played it a few years after release and it still held up well. Definitely looking forward to this one.

Interested. I hope they don't let people down as there is still a lot of love for the original.

the first one was one of a kind despite all its flaws. Heck, even multiplayer was great. I really hope they don't ruin it with this one.

Waiting for 'on Epic Store only'.

Also, its console designed in mind so it will be compromised. It will never live up to the first.

Bloodlines is already up for pre-order on Steam and GoG, and Epic. In a Q&A on Thursday at the GDC said they wouldn't have another Metro Exodus situation. So yeah, don't expect Bloodlines to go exclusive on Epic.

If you buy it directly from Paradox you get a Steam key. I still have to play the first game, bought it some time ago (maybe years), but didn't play it yet.

Now, the price, in Brazil at least. Steam and GoG, for the standard edition, R$109,99 (the price is displayed in my currency). EGS R$118,80 (U$28,99, still displaying in dollars, so the price in my currency changes with the dollar/real rate). In ParadoxPlaza it is U$59,99. EGS needs a wishlist.

Do it anyway. Once you get past the god awful animations, it's easily one of the best rpgs on pc we've ever had.

Also, just so you know, the animations and graphics weren't great at the time of release either.

Never played the original - it didn't review well at the time because of the game's issues. I think I remember it mostly for being the first Source game to release that wasn't Half-Life 2? Didn't it release even before Half-Life 2 itself?

Funny that the developers choose to call it a sequel with a "2" at the end and everything - not exactly the most inviting title for people who never experienced the first game.

This game has some massive shoes to fill.

In fact, I think they would have more success if they remade Bloodlines with a modern engine instead.

Out of the 600+ games I own I finished bloodlines twice. Was a great game. I actually have the disks.

To put in perspective, I think I've finished maybe 40 games out of 600. Hoping for something decent.

I'm irritated that they're pimping this so early. 9 months or so? WTF? Now I get to wish I was playing instead of enjoying other stuff.

That said, the interviews give me hope that they understand what made Bloodlines work. Hoping it has significant replay potential and/or can be a good platform for continuing expansion (new clans, new storylines, etc.)

But which clan? Argg. In the card game I liked Brujah and Toreador. In Bloodlines I really enjoyed Gangrel and Malkavian. Thinking I might do Tremere this time with a thinblood of bat-centric powers.

And if anyone wants to go to the site and set up an account, I wouldn't mind the referral credit.
