Default Games Finished in October 2019

Thought about doing this series to kind of assist people and motivate them to finish their backlogs. As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career going strong and travel a lot.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
565-Code Vein

Sorry for the delay. IRL is getting hectic in ways I never had before. Still, here is completion thread for previous month.

I completed only Code Vein, which I enjoyed alot. It was mostly casual than any real and intense Souls like challenge. Also, I was playing through the Surge 2 until I hit crashes due to a game bug. So I missed out from finishing it September.

Good luck to all. Looking forward to see what people cleared out!

Finished Dragon Quest 11 on the switch.

The faster battle speed found in the switch version really made the game much more enjoyable to play, battles are so SLOOOW in the pc version.

6 games.

AER Memories of Old: It is a very relaxing game, as your character can shape-shift into a bird. The plot created has a bit of an invented mitology, so lots of new names that sincerely I don't remember.
Amphora: Sort of a puzzle game, where you have a set of scenarios that follows the life of a little girl from her childhood, marriage, war times. It is an ok puzzle game, the aesthetic was what got my attention, not really worth it though.
Aragami: Interesting, but flawed sort of stealth game. Again, the aesthetic was what got my attention at first. The gameplay works very well, the plot gets interesting as the game goes on, although you can sort of guess what is going on early on.
The Banner Saga 3: I love The Banner Saga series. This last game was very good, the game mechanic of not being able to control your food resources was a nice addition, specially with how the plot progressed. And so many conflicts, I really hate Rugga. And my poor Oddleif
Basingstoke: A sort of rogue-like game from PuppyGames. Gameplay is very good, the game is rather long, I just didn't like that the game seems to have no end, at least I got tired of doing the same thing over and over again when the game hinted to me that all I had to do was find the safe room.
Anna's Quest: Amazing adventure game. I thought it was going to be a very sweet and child oriented game, but things are quite dark despite the game aesthetic. This one and The Banner Saga 3 were my favorite games this month.

Far Cry 5 - much better than I expected it to be. Took a lot of the BS away that Far Cry 4 introduced.

and

Beat Hazard 2 (I consider it finished after 50% achievement completion as there is no "finishing", and 100% achievement is not realistic).

Glad you enjoyed Banner Saga 3 Taturana. I was sort of on the fence with it. I felt that the game balance had been badly broken which lessened the impact for me. It's still been quite a journey over the three games though.

Aragami I pretty much agree with you on. Enjoyed it but managed to play the whole game without most of the power upgrades which probably wasn't how it was meant to be played.

One for me: Spider-Man on Playstation 4. Good, light-hearted game that sticks (haha) to the formula that best suits the franchise. Everything that a Spider-Man game needs to do - quips, swinging, combat, teenage drama and campy enemies - is right there.

I didn't feel the need to keep playing though. Having finished the main mission and most of the side missions, I didn't bother with most of the collectibles and all DLC. Moving on was better than to burn out on Spidey.

I think it'd make sense to include people once they've finished at least one game in a year.

You can take me off, as I forget to let you know when I've finished my games.

But I did have one month i did say I had finished a game but it never got updated probably just an oversight.

But thanks for keeping this thread running so long.

Another zero.

Also, I think there was a miscommunication on my part. It shows that I beat a game in September, but I didn't beat any games that month either. I guess my post from September didn't make that clear enough.

This month is also a third over and I haven't played anything, so it's not looking good either.
