My buddy has those speakers. Nice HT speakers. A bit on the bright side for music. Its those horns. But they really kick it out on HT movies. Nice!

In my bedroom. My setup is a little messy right now, just got the TV in the other day and I'm using a temporary crappy stand for it right now.

Cool big speakers dudes, but isn't the Left and Right channels too close to each other (from most of the pics I have seen posted)? Having them farther apart alows you to hear stereo seperation better, in other word it's like having mono when they are too close.

I only got a 100 watt durabrand 5.1 HT (more like room theatre) system from Walmart for only 76 dollars.

Unfortunately I hav no pics availble for this. But it's not much to look at. but for 76 dollard this thing sounds increadible. It sounds better and cheaper than most computer 5.1 systems. It supports dobly digital 5.1, 2.0, and Dolbly Prologic. The subwoofer is amazing, dispite it's small size it delivers some mean window rattleing bass. I would highly recomend this reciver for a small room such as mine and those who don't wish to spend too much (although it does not seem that walmart carries it anymore. I have had mine for year or even longer.)

I totaly love my 100 wat HT system.

Did i mention it has both optical, and coax inputs. I have a NF7 mobo, which means I can use the optical out of my sound storm to encode dolbly digital 5.1 in real time to be passed through my HT system. Result is 5.1 audio for PC games with out having to buy a seperate system for my PC .

I also have all my video game consoles hooked to a swich box which the audio go to the reciver and the video goes to the TV. As well as a DVD-player which is hooked via coaxil for audio, and video goes to the switch box.

I love it's prologic capability, since I can turn ordinary 2 channel audio from games and dolbly 2.0 DVDs (Most anime DVDs are 2.0, except movies). While the surround sound produced by prologic is no where near as dynamic as 5.1, it's still prety cool.

My sign is the gold DD sign you see in theaters, it says 'Dolby Digital System Installed in the Theater', or something like that. I did a favor for an engineer for Dolby Labs, so he sent me the sign. I haven't seen this particular one for sale anywhere, but I've seen other DD, DTS, and THX signs for sale on the internet.

I have mine installed on the outside of the door coming into the room.

what kind of favor did you do? just kidding.

looks like the dolby store on there website sells a plastic DD sign (gold colored) for $20. i saw some posters on ebay for DTS and THX. if i could just find some hi res jpegs i can print my own on some glossy 8x11's and frame them, that would be good enough for me.

heh heh. Nah, the guy worked on the Grammys last year and wanted a screenshot of the credits with his name listed.

Didnt think I did but I found a folder on my E:drive labeled "HT sh*t" and I found a few... I have the one pictured above and the THX one in similar print but I also found these ones that some guy made up...pretty kewl I must say.





I can email any of these if somebody wants one or two....the ones pictured here are ok in size (130kb's or so) but the other two are 1.38mb each.

You guys all have some very very nice equipment... Up until about 3 weeks ago, I would use my computer system as my HT System. After I graduated from college (transfering to another) I figured I would get my self a nice system.

First off the TV I got is a SONY FD WEGA 27" its a 700 dollar TV, but I got a steal at Sears and paid 300 bucks. I love it.

Next I decided I wanted a Panasonic HT system. I was in Sears and saw a model that I wanted, and bought it... It was last years model, and was on a clearance for $249 from $399. Well I went to the pickup spot and they didnt have any! LOL, since that happened they did a swap for this years Model which is by fare MUCH nicer, it plays any Codec that is possable. Best of all I got it for $249!
