In this moment imo the gaming performance doesn't matter anymore with 70MH of mining rate. The card is already a success and it will sell..It will not end in KAC's hand for sure.

Why oh why the 70, now the card is basically Gone on Arrival. It's gonna be next to impossible to get it, and I bet retailers will up the card price to cash in on the package bonuses even more. I'm pissed

This is an absolute nightmare period of time for PCs; CPUs are GREAT but the GPUs actually go up in price. It's insane! I planned on getting Threadripper and an rx Vega 64, but this can't be good. I am glad for AMD though, good times on the CPU and chipset end!

If you can get in on a pre-order at retail cost gaming life is good right away!

So what's the ETA for Watercooled/Hybrid RX Vega cards? I'm looking to dump my 1080 Ti's due to the Black screen loss of signal issue with HDMI and 4K HDR TVs

I'm still astounded that the recommended PSU for the WC version is 1000w. I've been looking at a Gigabyte Aurous 1080ti as an alternative if I can't get hold of Vega and that recommended spec is only 600w. Now I accept they'll over estimate the power requirement but by 400w WTF. The VEGA air cooled is touted at 750w which is just plain crazy.

This must mean that all those rumours of Vega's power draw might be correct and if so wow. As Theoden said in LOTR.."how has it come to this"

my 1080 ti killed my 850 watt PSU in about 10 minuets taking two hard drives with it

now it was old and a thermaltake but had been working with the same 1800x ryzen system with two 980's in sli fine for months

Mine is old and a Thermaltake tough power 700 and I definitely won't be risking it with Vega WC that's for sure. I'll take a punt on an AIB Vega 64 once I see the reviews and power draw and hopefully the AIB coolers will keep Vega in check. Not sure the reference AC Vega will be any better and will most likely throttle a lot to keep temps down like the 1080ti FE.

With regards to your PSU dying could it possibly have been on the way out anyway and adding the 1080ti was just a coincidence? I guess there's no way to prove it either way.

Unless you are using an i9, you could probably go <650w in terms of psu wattage with a ti.

Hopefully my AX860 will be enough. Ain't no other way than AIO. Don't do custom loops and the noise with no WC is annoying.

I would just wait to see what the actual power draw is in reviews. I think the water cooled PSU recommendations are just someone being ultra conservative. If Vega is really drawing like 200w more than a 1080 Ti then the recommendation might be warranted. If it's only 50 or 100w then probably not.

Because Vega has a special pedegree ... He may go in mining and get the money for the card... There will be something else that may show up in reviews.
1080 series is a bit borring imo ...

Without seeing reviews yet, who the f_ck would pay $650 for a blower vega?? It better be packing some incredible figures. Surely those are early adopters prices and they will be cheaper than that.

lol. That is abysmal. Barely 1080 performance. Any overclocked 1080 would destroy it (assuming overclocking on vega would be as exciting as Fury X).

Isn't Time Spy DX12, where nVidia sucks and AMD rocks?
