Default lmao... i love people who can't drive their cars

So it's rush hour and i'm about 8 minutes away from my house when this "My New Haircut" douchebag in an 02 GT decided to get right up on my ass (literally no more then 2" from my rear bumper). So then stupid decides he's going to get in the lane next to me when traffic clears and looks like he wants to pass me because he starts to speed up (no traffic in front of us and green lights). So I floor it and no one gained grown untill i hit 5th gear and started to walk away, then we hit a curve and i gained a good length and a half, and merge into his lane to make the left hand turn thats coming. He makes the turn as well and at the next light pulls into the left hand turn lane, blocks traffic just to flip ME off...

So big bad guido dickhead with MORE base HP, more WHP, AND less weight then me can't beat a little old SUV?? What a **** driver.

So you were on the streets going WOT until 5th gear? Sounds extremely dangerous.

there is a few stretches of road here i have no issues going WOT on; most of the time i wont. This street is 2 lanes, one way with no cross streets and no houses/businesses

Yeah I ran into a similar situation the other day. Lady swerving and riding my ass to the point where I was a hair away from brake checking the **** out of her.

So, basically, dude tries to pass you, and you be a douchebag and "race" him and then cut him off? I'd have flipped you off too... asshat.

same thing i got from reading it

i don't understand why people don't like being passed, someone wants to pass me i let them, don't see the harm, there may be a reason there going quick, ever thought of that?

i once tried to overtake someone (my last car wasn't the quickest) doing 40 in a 60 on a very quiet road, went to over take as i got along side him he just put his middle finger up at me and kept up with me, so i pulled back behind and he just slowed back down ot his original speed, my car wasn't powerful enough to pull infront at the speeds we were doing because he wouldn't let me past. I mean he got up to 90 to block me from passing, seriously, what is the point of stopping someone from passing?

if you didn't take it personally why did you post a thread about it? these things happen everyday, most of us just accept it, most of us realise we've done stupid things ourselfs so can't really go crazy at other people doing it too.

wasnt even CLOSE to cutting him off. There was about 2 Chevy Suburban lengths between me and him when i switched lanes.

I don't have a problem with people passing me, I have a problem with douchebags. I can't stand being tailgated especially during rush hour.

Besides, he wasn't trying to pass me in the sense of switching lanes, going around me, switching back. He was in the left lane because he had to make the turn.

I've had this happen to me, but usually I have enough power to remedy the situation. I've had people doing 45 on the frigggin hwy.

I posted the thread because it's funny how people buy sports car and just can't drive them worth S#!T. The fact he was a grade-A d-bag was an added bonus; especially since as soon as he made the second left he was lining up with the LS1 Camaro that was behind him...

...

I used to get really really annoyed when people tailgated me, I used to just sharply drop 10mph then speed back up to try and get them to drop back, but nowadays if someone is being an ass i'd rarther not be near them to avoid any possible accidents, i'd just let them pass, i've even moved over a lane slowed down a bit then pull back in behind them at a safe distance if they don't seem to want to pass, once (on a 2 way road) i moved sharply into the oncoming lane slammed the brakes on and then followed them until my turnoff came with my mainbeam on, it was after i did that i realised i let myself get way to angry/annoyed with people who do it, it was very late at night with no one around but it was still pretty stupid of me to do it...

I agree with you tho, it is annoying, but personally thesedays i just try not to let it bother me

I do the 'drop 10mph' method when people tailgate behind me in the carpool lane. If i'm on the expressway and someone taillgates me usually ill switch lanes if i can, let them pass and switch back.

I like driving with the girls in the car because i drive a lot more carefully because i have precious cargo aborad lol.

I don't particularly like tailgaters, but I've only had one really give me the ****s. Was some middle-aged douche in a Volvo. I was in the right lane with my indicator on to turn right at the upcoming intersection (right lane is the fast on in Oz). The douche was riding my tail by a bare inch at 80 kph, which was already 10 over the limit for the road we were on. Traffic was pretty solid, but as luck would have it there was no vehicle immediately behind him.

So I every so gently pulled up my park brake handle.

Massive screech of brakes from behind me as he ****s himself. And then he blows the horn and starts swearing. (Yes, loud enough that I could hear him inside my own car). I slow down to take my turn in the approaching turning lane, he floors it, flipping me off and swearing... and promtly goes up the ass of the car in front of him, not too hard, but hard enough.

I continued on my merry way.

Believe it or not it takes more skill then meets the eye to drive an SUV; especially in the 5 boroughs.

And I've made my SUV do things it has no business doing in the name of avoiding accidents, and making it to my wedding on time .

Although I am quite confident if roles were reversed I would've smoked him anyway. There's only a handfull of SUVs that should be smoking sports cars; TB SS, Gr. Cherokee SRT-8, and the Porsche Cayene.

Although I am quite confident if roles were reversed I would've smoked him anyway. There's only a handfull of SUVs that should be smoking sports cars; TB SS, Gr. Cherokee SRT-8, and the Porsche Cayene.
Uhh none of those SUV's will smoke a true sportscar.

aside from speeding I wasn't doing anything illegal or dangerous. Didn't swerve, didn't cut him off, didn't tailgate, didn't forget to signal.

I know views on street racings are very bleak around here, but I didn't put anyone in any immediate danger.
