![]() Review starts here. Comments: At lower than 1600x1200, the 9600XT beats the 9500 PRO in all benchmarks. FS' 605/690 (2x345) overlock is not too shabby. No mention of ATi using faster memory with shipping boards. |

![]() The perfect midrange video card in my opinion. $200 for HL2 + graphics card = great great deal

![]() Perfect? A $199 NV37 may change that opinion in the eyes of the mainstream, but being a fanATIc, there is no doubt that my next card will be a 9600XT. But if an OEM offers it with faster memory/mem clock, I may go with it instead of ATi. I hope a 9600XT will last me until late next year when I can get a Prescott CPU with PCI-Express mobo, and a AIW R450 or R423. |

![]() I think theInq is BS. I don't think ATi was expecting nVidia to develop a new core for NV36/FX5700, so they were not prepared to give the 9600XT faster memory. It'll be up to ATi's OEMs to do that. |

Also, picture quality is something too. Have you seen the screen shots of the new drivers compared with the old ones?
