Question Do you think my FPS will increase?

Hi All

I got my new Mobo (EP RDA+) this week which gave me a 1000 points improvement in 3DMark02SE which is great. I was just wondering what a performance increase I'll get if I upgrade to a 2400+ XP CPU. I increased my VCore too 1.80 volts on my 1600 XP, but didn't much of an overall improvement.
Might my 8500 LE be the bottle-neck?

Also another question while I'm about it. I see that my CPU runs much cooler on my new Mobo. Can that be expected? Is the temp measuring device on the Mobo or on the CPU? The reason why I'm asking this is because I've never really OC before and I don't want to over heat the damn thing.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

the temperature gage is built into the motherboard. If you upgrade to a 2400+ you will notice an extreme boost in performance. I doubt that the 8500LE is a bottleneck.

P.S.

If part of your memory is PC2100 and the rest is PC2700 be aware that all your RAM is running @ PC2100
