Default So how is FarCry Multiplayer life?

I really liked the lan games we had and well I was about to buy it today, but kinda worried it might die out fast? Are there enough games? How is network code? Euro servers?

Some of the upcoming mods look awesome though.

Well are there enough servers to play on? Have you seen euro servers?

Yeah there are plenty. Can’t say I play much of FC online but overall I like the MP mode FC has to offer. I'd recommend you to try it.
Oh and since we are on the subject, are there any interesting mods for FC that are worth checking out? Would anyone mind to provide some links perhaps?

It's alright but nothing amazing. The MP is mostly your run of the mil DM or capture and hold type game play and I just don't dig that type of game play anymore *shrug*

no patch recently. as for lag, its just that most servers don't have the hardware and/or bandwidth to support the game; if you find a good server then lag should not be an issue.

When I was beta-testing, nothing struck me as being 'different' in Far Cry. It can be fun, but frankly, it's rather boring. Hopefully, the mod community will change that up a bit.

Sounds like nothing has changed from beta. For the first time a beta actually prevented me from buying a game and ruined the whole experience. Even though I missed a decent singleplayer game I guess I am happy chose not to get FC.

The battle ground is too big. They need to reduce the size of each map, or put more people in there. Unfortunately, more people means more lag.

I have no problem finding somewhere to play. I'm using DSL and with a ping <100ms the play is really fun as you stated about the lan play. For some reason people with a really bad connection can cause visual anomalies. Like emptying a whole clip from the big machine gun into someone and they just disappear leaving you going, huh?.
