Question How many of you have made your own blair witch movie?

I know its been out a long time, but one of my friends had never seen it so a group of us gathered up and watched it, then I remembered that after I saw the movie in the theathers a group us went out and made a movie lol. Just wondering how many others have done that.

The first one wasn't that bad. They did a pretty good job at making it seem real.

they threw a few kids in a forest with 600,000 dollar budget (i think) and then pretty much let them do whatever the hell they want. With no script i believe. They just had to pretend that they were scared and crap.

It could have just as easily turned into an extremely corny experience on their part. They did a damn fine job of selling it IMHO.

as a low-grade-looks-like-some-high-school-project-turned-hollywood-film film it was a good job. As a film itself, it was beyond crappy...
the only jumpy part for me was near the end. And that was after sitting thru the whole entire 1.5hrs i think watching them run around in the dark....

well i had that urge sometime near like 30mins saying to myself "WTF is this BS?"

I actually meant the near ending had me going a little nervous for a bit there...but then when the credits showed i calmed down and was like "WTF???"

That movie is good. I don't think anyone that actually saw it will think the movie is a bad one. Of course, they might try to act cool and say that they are not scared.

Well, a friend was working in a cinema when it came out, and said he'd stay out of the way of the audience when they came out because they usually thought it was so bad.

Personally I liked the first third, but after that it fell apart and became just a home video of a few stupid teenagers trying to look scared. I'd imagine it worked a lot better early on when some people actually believed that it was real footage.

I used to know one of the producers years ago, and I'd much rather have spent the money watching the cyberpunk movie he was trying to raise funding for back then than 'Blair Witch': it was a great marketing gimmick, but not much of a movie.

I think the only slightly good things that came from that movie were, The Blair Thumb... and "I think God killed it." And even then both of those are questionable...

I liked the first movie and didn't think the sequel was too shabby either. If you want to see a great spoof on the first one then see The Bag Witch Project. It's about 3 gamers at GenCon who are in search of the Bag Witch.
