Sorry to hear this news Munkus (I know I'm late here). Wish you and your family all the luck in the world.

My father is beating and still fighting multiple forms of cancer.

He's still staying positive overall, but he came downstairs this morning pretty bummed. "My leg hairs are falling out!" he cried.

His head hair will likely fall out after next week's 5-day chemo stent. I told him he should spray his hair really well with the strongest hairspay known to man, then when it falls out it will be a helmet he can put back on whenever he wants.

His energy level is pretty low as expected. He spent most of today curled up on the sofa watching reruns of The Clone Wars on Netflix. It was his favorite show when he was little.

If it's gets too bad, get him sunglasses and ear plugs if he gets hypersensitive.
Is he OK to go outside in the sun?

The hair and energy lost really stinks. At least he has enough energy to enjoy television.

I shaved my hair off. Trust me, it's easier this way. Of course it takes time to get used to the "new look" but it's better than to have to wait for it to fall off yer head (and body) every day, which is way more depressing.

Also, his energy level will most likely take a deep dive, better be prepared for that.

Sending you tons of good thoughts around the globe.

Don't know. We haven't seen the sun in a month.

He is very photosensitive, so probably wouldn't be too comfortable for him.

His hair will grow back, Munkus. I know it's only a small consolation, but hey, small steps, right?

As for the energy, well, Munkus, chemo is basically poison, as such it's not a big surprise to see how the body reacts to it. On the plus side, well, he's young and he seems to be fit, that will help a lot. Also he has all support one could wish for, which is also a big +.

Again, best wishes from my lady and myself for your whole family.

Sidenote: Maybe, just maybe, it would help Brandon to read up about his disease. Sometimes it helps to know what's going on and where you're "heading" although some people prefer not to. Can't tell, because obviously i don't know him.

Use it on my head every day. As close to a razor as you'll find and SO much quicker.

Wow, that is so awful, but since I am laughing, I must be equally awful. Sorry, but I love dark humor.

It is a good example, though, of how statements can be taken out of context.

Yep, it'll grow back. He knows that. He's not too stressed about it. And he has read almost everything possible about the cancer, staging, treatment, prognosis, stories from survivors, etc. Plus my wife's best friend had nearly the same chemo protocol for her lung cancer 6 years ago, so she has coached him on what to expect. So far she's been spot on.

That is the best scenario indeed as nothing beats first hand experience.

Having said this, I just passed 30K, would you look at that....
