Prototype24 is still being judged by the masses

Default Backing up WOW/HL2 info

I'm going to build my A64 system next week so I'm backing my files to dvd!

I wanted to ask you guys/girls what files/folders do you need to backup for World of Warcraft & HL2.

I know blizzard saves your account on their servers but do I need to backup anything on my end? (I know I'll need to d/l the full patch files)

As for Half-Life 2 I had to stop playing it a long time ago because of the stuttering but I have updated all the files from steam so I don't want to redownload them.

I Just want to know the safest way to backup.

Thanx!

Steam has a backup option, right click on the game and pick backup files, or somthing to that effect.

WoW, aside from the annoyonce of reinstalling, no backup nessisary.

To back up HL2 just drag the whole Valve folder onto your DVD.

for hl2 just get the steamapps folder
for wow your addons folder because its a pain in the ass if you have a lot of them, you can also backup your wtf folder wich is the one that holds your personal settings, as for the patches, i dont know where the blizz patcher saves them to but i always get them from 3dgamers so i have them all in one place
