CATALYST maker is still being judged by the masses

Default CATALYST 3.2 info

Ok lots of threads going on about various things.

1) People are very anxious for the 7.84 set which is known as CATALYST 3.2 and want to know when it will be posted.
2) People want to know what to expect in this driver set.
3) people are wondering about RADEON9800 performance paths and when the RADEON9700 users will get them.

I have decided to address these for the inquiring minds.

1) Shortly

2) Stuttering observed in the 9700 series is all I want to mention right now. Stay tuned for more!

3) Seems like lately on the forums a developer has spoiled my upcoming surprise about the CATALYST drivers for RADEON. We found some pretty decent performance boosts while we were developing the 9800 drivers. They were scheduled for release with the first set of 9800 drivers (CATALYST 3.2) and we were planning on letting them out for the 9700 cards once we'd tested them thoroughly. Which in this case is CATALYST 3.3

When we launched CATALYST we commited that we would keep adding new features, bug fixes and performance boosts across the range, but we're dead serious about our stability and quality testing and won't compromise that for anything. The CATALYST drivers are the most stable on the market, and that will not change. So for now CATALYST 3.2 will have not have the amazing performance boosts for the 9700, CATALYST 3.3 will! Furthermore since I like you guys so much I will plan on bringing in the CATALYST 3.3 posting day from our typical release cycle, and have it posted as soon possible

However, since he CAT(!) is out of the bag - you now know that 9700 owners will have a great performance boost with the CATALYST 3.3 posting. We're not just number one - we'll now be #1 (RADEON 9800 PRO), #2 (9800) and #3 (9700 PRO).

2003 the year of CATALYST!

Thanx for the update.
I look forward to the 3.3's for my 9700 Pro.
I'm one of the ones waiting on the 256 MB 9800 Pro.
So my 9700 Pro has to do me a while longer.
More speed is what I need.

Hmmmm, no.
It will take much more than radeon 9800pro for me to give up on my trusty radeon 9700pro.(r400)
I'll wait for my Cat 3.3 driver boost!!!

I was juz j/k...unless I'm going to build another brand new pc, then I might consider putting a 9800Pro in that box

The Cat3.3 will give radeon9700 the boost radeon9800 is getting with Cat3.2.

Catalyst maker, can you mention any new features you are planing for the forseable future or give as the 10 most wanted features from your catalyst feedback program?
