You seem to do a lot of auto x and tracking with the eclipse due to its GT equipped status. Those rotors will definitely keep you from getting any brake fade. Top quality slotted. Oh and I'm sure you already have done this but I'd get stainless steal brake lines. For extra high performance on the track.

With all that power under the hood (like 400 wheel Im sure right?) you shoulda went all out and put bbk on it. I'd also consider some custom brake ducting to keep them cooler and reduce brake fade. Next on your list I would hit walmart and get a quality tire to grip real hard.

Diagnosed "Check Engine" light as a random misfire on Cylinders 1 and 3. Gonna check all the cheap and easy stuff(Spark Plugs etc) tomorrow and see if that solves it.

Spent $190 bucks because I caved and ended up taking it to a shop to fix my above misfire issue

Tracked down a random surging and bogging down problem on the Sportage to either the MAF, O2 sensor or maybe the TPS. The TPS checked out OK with my digital VM so it must be one the the previous 2. MAF sensor is $420, O2 is $240 and that's after market too.
I'll have to take it to a specialist to download and diagnose the codes as I have no way to do it at home. Doing it by trial and error is too expensive.

PS: The specialists tell me it was the MAF, everything else checks out OK including the fuel pressure, and injectors, a couple of other things I couldn't check my self. $420 + $80 labour.
Strange as I thought if anything it would be the O2 sensor.

Let's see:
Took apart the dashboard to fix the speedometer cable and painted the dashboard trim that has come off over the years with some hobby paint pens I bought. It looks alot better now, but I sorta messed up painting the "Light" section, but the tach covers that part of the dashboard anyway.

today i took my brand new truck purchased 3 weeks ago to a local body shop to get an estimate because some DIP**** hit my truck in a parking lot. only a medium sized dent but it's $1000 worth of damage. hit and run. i hate low-class people.

when i was in college i backed into a random car in a parking lot and left a dent. i left a note under the windshield wiper and went with her to the body shop a few days later (primarily to protect my own interest). leaving a note is just the right thing to do. stupid people.

Wife ordered a wind restrictor for her Sky RedLine, we finally recieved it today. It was custom etched with a symbol she really likes (she's a BonJovi freak) and lights up bright red. I'll be wiring it up to the brakes so when she hits the brakes, the wind restrictor LED's light up as well. Also, setting up a bypass system so that we can run it off a 9v battery at car shows and club events instead of draining the battery.

I was skeptical when she ordered it, because I don't care for the symbol. I temporarily wired it up so we could see what it looks like...it's actually not too bad. Can't wait to see it installed between the seat headrests in her convertible.

My wife broke a headlight on the Pathie. Nissan wanted nearly $400 for just the glass! Told the guy that isn't going to happen.
Got an entire headlight from Jap wreckers for $65.00! It's not like it's a part that wears out.
Another $65.00 got a stock replacement steering wheel from the same wrecker, I even managed to get one the right colour. I've never liked the wooden Nardi wheel that was on the Pathy when we bought it, it looks tacky, and it has sharp spoke edges which hurts your thumb on a long drive.
A recent drive to Sydney and back reminded me how much I dislike this wheel.

Had to buy a new O2 sensor for the Sportage after all. It wasn't throwing codes but it was still surging a bit even after replacing the MAF.
Fortunately the injection system is Bosch, and generic Bosh sensors both fit, and are comparatively cheap.

I replaced the radiator as the old one (original, 13 years old) had started leaking.
then I washed the underside of the engine and radiator area to get rid of the old coolant and other grease and grime that was splattered around.
it's surprisingly easy to replace a radiator

Well actually, she still isn't finished being painted. It still needs the black GT stripes on the bottom of the doors and I'm having a Mach 1 blackout painted on the hood. Its a 69 Mustang GT coupe with a 351 Windsor.

But plans for it are pretty much restomod. Shes already fuel injected and I put a rack & pinion on it. Next up after I save up more money after all this body work is going to be a T5 trans.

I installed my AGP upper hard pipe and HKS SSQV blow off valve.

In the process of removing a difficult bolt securing my surge valve (to replace it with a block off plate) I also managed to lose a small 10mm wrench in my engine bay (that I cannot seem to find or retrieve).

In the process of removing a difficult bolt securing my surge valve (to replace it with a block off plate) I also managed to lose a small 10mm wrench in my engine bay (that I cannot seem to find or retrieve).
