Request a buyback, don't enact lemon law. Lemon law will put you on the wrong side of the manufacture, and be alot more difficult. Hold that as a last resort, trust me. Request buyback first.

EDIT*** Wanted to add, Lemon Law varys state by state aswell, make sure you read your stats policies. For example IL is pretty difficult. Has to be 3 repairs or more for the _same_ concern, no variation, and the dealership has to agree that there is no ability to resolve (give up). It can be very time consuming, and expensive. Requesting a buyback tends to be a lot easier, and often you don't have to go through the hoops.

They can only wipe the warranty if they prove the tune caused the damage. And that would only be the warranty for whatever part. Life if your engine was tuned, you would still have suspension warranty.

That's correct, my cousin owns a VW dealership here in Peru and talked with him before tuning my GLI, it was already out of warranty but was curious anyway.

Most mid sized trucks don't really do much better than the 1/2 tons do. They're typically 1-2MPG better at best in the real world.

My buddy has a crew cab Colorado, same year/drivetrain as mine, and averages 21mpg, gets up to 24mpg highway. I don't even get close to that.

Soo... new spring and diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator... New EGR control solenoid and regulator. A bunch of tuning to be redone!

Sigh... sometimes I regret not going MS, but it's all about learning. MS kinda sucks because I have to basically make all the trigger wheels and sensor mounts to control the fuel and ignition systems.

Maybe if I get brave I'll actually dyno it... lol

Got another appointment on the 24th Bucking hard when accelerating from a stop on a turn with only 1/4 or less pedal. Been an issue since day 1, thought the trans flush might fix it but no, still bucks hard enough to throw the rear end around sometimes.

Took the Golf R to the dragstrip last night with a bunch of friends. Loud bang from the rear on the first launch/pass. My Golf R is now a GTI, front drive only. Seems like the Haldex pump filter is clogged, and I'm not sure the extent of it yet. Will likely bring this one into the dealer as it's under warranty. It's possible the Haldex is ****ed.

Did I mentioned it was a terrible year for cars? Yep, nothing has changed.

The best possible year. The only one equipped with the Sachs shocks tested and tuned on the Nurburgring. Ring tuned...so you know it's good.

But yeah, anything 02+ is fantastic. With the 04 the best you can get. If you're looking, be careful with the 2002 models. Or, just swap out the valve springs and they are good to go. They put in the wrong valve springs for the more aggressive cam they swapped to in 2002 (2001 was 385hp, 2002+ is 405) and didn't change the springs for the higher lift. Lots of them were dumping needle bearings into the motor when the springs gave. They changed them out mid-year in production.
