first time ps2 owner have some questions...

I bought a ps2 and god of war 2 at walmart last night. I have a big silver I'ART JVC tv that has s-video, comonment inputs, and regular composite inputs. My nephew gave me his official sony comonment cables for the ps2 is this the best hookup?

What are some games I need to get that are exlusive to the ps2. I am a pc gamer too BTW.

You mean 'Component' I guess? Component should give the best display output. Composite is always crappy. Try both cables on component they should in theory look the same but you never know.

Depends what sort of games you like really.

The Ace Combat games were good arcade flightsim type games
Ratchet and Clank series is good
Final Fantasy games if you like RPG's

Too broad a question to ask really.

Congrats on the pickup. You must play God of War 1 before you play 2. Can find GoW1 for 10bucks now (well worth it)

Jak and Daxter series is also great.

Pick up Final Fantasy XII, I'm playing it right now, I've done less than half and I'm already tipping 56 hours, it's like a life experience!!

The quadruped that stomps the ground and shoots energy out of it's mouth. It's a wide open area with geysers that shoot off occasionally. I know what I need to do, I just can't do it. He hits me no matter what and keeps knocking me down and eventually kills me.

just finished gow1 myself (on normal mode ... god mode opened up). one of the best consol games ive ever played ... strongly recommend picking this one up.

now onto ratched and clank and fantasy hearts

Yeah pick up GoW1 before you play the 2nd...

FF12, Shadow of the Collosus, Kingdom Hearts etc along with those mentioned in this thread are some awesome games!

Speaking of God of War... just finished it a hour ago. Man what a amazing game it was... sad to see it end.

I haven't properly played it yet, only got to the first save point.

I will do though, it's just hard managing game time between all the consoles and the PC, with work and sleep inbetween
