Default 32 bit software not working on XP64?

I have been recommending our company to switch over to x64 in our recent computer purchases (including a dual Opteron server running Server 2003 x64 and the new Sempron 64 desktop) but it has been a rough ride so far. Recently, we got this Sempron 64 2800+ system with an Asrock K8NF4G-SATA2 PCI-E mobo. We didn't have any problem with the 64 bit drivers as the CD that came with the mobo has all of the 64 bit drivers for the onboard video/sound/LAN. However, we're unable to get certain applications to run on Windows XP x64. Specifically, there's this life insurance software that just simply refuses to install on x64. I understand that x64 comes with a 32 bit emulator (WOW64). Are there any other things that I can do to make these applications run on x64? Thanks.

if there the application wont install due to a OS check in the installer, you can edit the MSI file and remove the OS check, worked on Doom3 when it wouldnt install on x64 RC2 for me.
used MaSai editor (ironicly only works on XP 32bit).
If the software installs any kind of driver, it wont work, all drivers MUST be 64bit, like 32bit versions of Rivatuner or Deamon Tools wont work properly.
Other then that, any 32bit application should run fine on x64.

Use Orca editor (it comes with the Windows SDK) to edit the msi and remove the os check, I have done this to install Area51 and Vampire:Bloodlines
