MelonMob is still being judged by the masses

Default DVD software no working under cat 3.2

Today i tried to play some of my dvd's. I have recently reinstalled my system and had no reinstalled my dvd software until today. First I installed windvd. When trying to play a dvd it gave me black window/screen, the sound was there but no picture. Tested a few variations of the settings but nothing seemed to work. Then i uninstalled windvd and installed power dvd, when i try to play dvd's whith power dvd i get a distorted picture. mosty containing green and red stripes. If i dont shut it down my system wil hang and on restart i get a message that my radeon 9700 was to blame. Anyone go any idea?

My system is
Abit nfs-7
Readeon 9700
AMD Atholon XP 1600+
Pioner DVD rom
1 GB of ram
and som hd's.

Everyting is running at stock speeds , no oc. And it used to work before i reistalled my machine. ( back then i was running cat 3.1 driver)

PamG is still being judged by the masses

You're missing some pieces.
The blank screen and the pink and green lines sounds like codecs aren't there and/or your DX9.0a should be checked.
