Default Galaxy Note?

What's up with the jerky menu animations? It's like the thing runs on a single-core chip. FYI SGS2 was silky smooth like my iPhone 4S. Application performance, though I can't comment in detail since I only held it for like 10 minutes, also felt significantly less responsive than the SGS2.

This doesn't make sense. Shouldn't the Note's CPU be 200MHz faster?

It has a higher resolution and I'm assuming they haven't bumped the GPU speed much, if any.

More pixels, no GPU acceleration. ICS will eradicate laggy menu issues

I don't have any problems with jerkiness, but I am using a custom kernel and ROM.
