Default R520 and multiple cards.

For the moment it not possible to control more than 1 card with the CCC.

Do any now, if that goner change with the R520 coming???

Now its very difficult to get multiple cards to work with games and video to span over to screens. And I would love to play hl2 over my 3 screens :-)

hopefully it will come before the r520 is released.
best rumour so far is that the motherboards will be announced at Computex this month.

the only cards that support multi-card rendering would be the PCIe cards, thought the 9x800 cards have teh same technology, there is no way to hook them up in series.

Wunderchu.

I now about the Matrox card, but they have low frame in hl2. I would have a high end card to play with.

Snookums.

The only motherboard I heard about, is this: http://tw.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Products/Products_GA-8I915P%20Dual%20Graphic.htm. But cant find a test using it with s-gamming ??

Isn’t the plan that the R520 should be able to connect more than one card and let them work together like “sli” ???

If this is the plan, then maybe there is goner be better support for gaming with more than one card ??

See: "RD480, RD400" for AMR details. If you like rumors, there's always the inquirer

Yes, and Intel has it's B955 chipset, which has allready been reviewed with *TWO* PCI Express x16 slots, but NO SLI support.
(it is AMR compatible though...)

And "rumours" about AMR boards aren't really rumours anymore, everyone has seen Asus' board and the Cebit had AMR setups running in backrooms...

don't worry...

Two PCI-Express slots do not equal 16 lanes to each slot though.

*sigh*

http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/bk/

Can I *PLEASE* ask you to look in threads that have answered this allready:

http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthre...3810845&page=2
The specifications state: "PCI Express x16 2"

In the +amr thread I posted a french review and the specifications of the board state either a 16/4 or 16/16 configuration.
As stated by the manual: " Secondary PCI Express x16/x4 bus add-in card connector"

Narrow minded people focus on sli chipsets and obvious limitations it has (i.e. pci-e 8/8)PCI Express x16 2

And IIRC Nforce Pro chipset also has enough lanes for two 16x PCIe (see hp's xw9300).
