![]() It's BS. They will fall like a blind roofer. They are destined to go the way of the Sega Saturn. |

![]() a friend has a fujitsu lifebook 3000. it's not perfect; the viewing angle is a little restricted and digital ink is only just getting off the ground. but overall i'd say it's one sweet piece of kit, much more ergonomic than a laptop (which the lifebook 3000 also doubles as), the digital ink works superbly well. the format is only going to get stronger, wireless surfing on a tablet is the most natural browsing experience. i'll definitely get one in a couple of generations. they're a bit damn pricey atm, he paid £1170 + vat.

![]() The thing is they have been around for years now. I remember working on them in 96. Why all of a sudden they are the future? Jim

1.4 gig pentium-m (= approx 2.3 gig p4) 100hz sampling on the pen = behaves like pen and paper operating system designed for it (xp tablet) 802.11b/g/a essentially they're reaching maturity now. although still expensive and a little way to go on battery (with wi-fi) and screen.
