luxor is still being judged by the masses

Default 1 million DX9 cards shipped

Here's the link: http://mirror.ati.com/companyinfo/press/2003/4609.html

This includes the 9500 up to the 9700 Pro

I guess things are going really well for ATI.

Well, I guess the statements made at ATI's Mojo day last October that they'd shipped a million 9700P's by that date were incorrect--this press release apparently proves it. *chuckle* I won't be quoting that statistic anymore--ah, the Internet--such a bastion for propaganda...

It would appear at this point that they have sold most of them to. Being that they have been sold out everywhere for a coupple weeks and new stock is just appearing.

I get the feeling that ATi's Profits and market % is going to look a little differnt in Q1 2003 than the last report indicated.

Actually, they previously said they'd shipped 1 million R300's, not 9700pro's. That would include chips shipped to 3rd party board manufacturers.
