Not sure tbh, but WP8 automatically backs up to SkyDrive out of the box, so I just use that. I've only ever used DropBox a few times in past and didn't like it that much.

I think the main difference is in the fine print. Last I knew, Microsoft claims your data is your data and they won't be held responsible for any of it. Dropbox and Google state anything you upload, they will maintain possesion of a copy of it, a la Facebook.

I think there was a thread somewhere here on this a number of months ago.

App support for syncing and backing up data - Dropbox is king. They are both good however.

For some reason, I have a hard time trusting 3rd party apps, unless the app is THAT spectacular, like Tweetbot for Twitter. In 99% of the cases, I prefer the official app.

Found an app called 'Audio Player Free'.

That basically does exactly what I want, just a straight up mp3 player. It may have saved a return.

What kind of data do you sync or backup using Dropbox.

I've installed Dropbox on various systems but I still haven't found a usage scenario for me

Only time I've found Dropbox useful is for the iRacing team I'm on. When someone uploads a setup for a particular car, I get a notification that's already in my documents folder. I don't have to login into anything or sync or whatever.

If you have a group of people needing access to the same data share worldwide, especially dynamic, I'd imagine it's incredibly useful.

Looks like apps are trickling in. I'm looking for another NAS as well as an app to login to my current one. Products from qnap, buffalo, netgear, etc. all advertise iOS and/or Android apps on their product pages with no mention of Windows Phone. Go into the MSFT store and an app will be there for the product with 0 or 1 reviews.

I have been using it naked since day 1 (have tried 2 cases, liked neither and returned in-store).

No scratches that I can see. There is supposed to be a really thin case coming from Nokia, just waiting on that, or I'll leave it bare.

The apps are trickling in. Spotify and Pandora are both expected soon (early next year at the latest is the current projection, but there are 3'rd party apps for Pandora).

Twitter is deeply integrated by default and there is the official app if you choose not to use the people hub. The hub is basically where I keep up with everyone on. I barely used FB and Twitter on my iPhone. Now, I am tied to all my social networks in the most intuitive way possible

Dropbox doesn't exist as far as I know, but Skydrive is there by default and it rocks.

I liked dropbox, I had an account before they were bigtime, but skydrive does the same job and since it's tied to my Win 8 accounts, ends up being far better.

Don't know about all of them. I know for my boardexpress (tapatalk) app, it backs up. And all apps and settings are synched to the cloud. Haven't messed around with other apps much.

Btw, some screenshots of battery usage/life. This is a 3'rd party app which has a live tile showing battery updates periodically as well charge status (charging, yes/no) and displays on the lock screen.

Settings, NFC turned off and brightness is medium (not auto). Bluetooth and Wifi are on.I have CNN news updates live to the lock screen (it is my detailed view item) and have Nokia Music paused in the background.

The part where it starts discharging more quickly is when I was driving to work and stopped to pick up holiday cupcakes for folks in my workplace, I had Nokia Music playing over bluetooth.

Nah, it's a great observation that it is offered. Believe me when I was looking through and noticed some items are supported in WP, I had to read the fine print

I expect things will change over the next couple of months. I hope they do, otherwise the WP8 experience is going to start to sour.

They were saying "Q1 2013" for Spotify WP8 on their forums.

I think it's due to Microsoft releasing the SDK pretty late.

I tried the WP8 phone Lumina 920 in the mall and it was pretty responsive. Fantastic interface too for the ADD crowd. Overall, looked cool and such but need some games for it to be a viable purchase. Priced lower than iPhone 5 as well.

There are games. Many of the more popular games are already ported or being ported. Angry Birds Space looks great.

So after 3 days of usage i must conclude that this might be the best phone i have ever had.
The build quality is far beyond any thing else. (comming from a iphone 4s and a Galaxy s3). The camera is amazing. The performance is amazing, The battery just blows my GS3 out of the water.
I like the Nokia navigation, i LOVE the REAL Exchange active sync and facebook integration.

I love the mat black back surface of the phone. it jus shines quality. I love the weight of the phone.

This is by far the best phone i have yet to behold in my hands. Great work Nokia and MS.

It's Finnish, of course it's the best.

If you want to Win, choose a Fin.

Yes, the negatives sure are mind bogglingly bad on that review. "Poor Google integration" and "Not available outside AT&T".

I wonder if iPhone got minuses for being available to AT&T? I'm pretty sure if we look at HotHardware review of the time, it won't state that as a negative thing.

US based review sites are full of crap, they've never been anything but mind bogglingly biased.
