Right now I'm leaning towards returning the current monitor, set up my crummy 60Hz 1080p 3x24" monitors back, take my time and see if I miss anything after almost two months on a single 144Hz 1440p 16:9 32" monitor. Two months during which I never really felt a single moment of particular awe for anything, be it size, faster refresh-rate, adaptive-sync or deeper blacks. Nothing ![]()

![]() For the debate between Samsung G Odyssey series vs the CX high refresh rate G7 = 240Hz G9 = 240hz CX = 120Hz accurate colors G7, G9 and CX all have pretty awesome colour. OLED probably wins out though. perfect blacks Clear win for the CX. The G7/G9 VA panels get pretty inky, comparable to a plasma, but it can't beat an OLED at all. ultrawide CX can run a custom resolution with perfectly black bars to mimic Ultrawide. You have to bump up to a 32:9 Super Ultrawide G9 get this outta Samsung. Size G7 = 27" or 32" G9 = 49" CX = 48" and up Price G7>CX>G9 At least based on some here managing to find the CX for some pretty sweet pricing. Plus TV's tend to on sale more often than monitors.

![]() Problem for me with the LG CX displays is while they may likely be the superior display on the market right now for gaming they are just too big for me to use as PC monitor. Release one that is smaller and I might be interested. But I would probably miss UW resolutions since it wouldn't be feasible to do a custom res for UW on a much smaller display. |

![]() 42" is still just way too big for my desk and viewing distance. Its bordering on stupid to even consider for me. 32" UW is the max i can do here. |

![]() Mine didn't fit my desk either. Stuff got moved and tossed to the side lol. It's one of the very few "Why did I wait this long" moments I've had lately. |

![]() I honestly prefer to have a monitor on desk as well. I play a lot of MP FPS and 34" UW 144hz seems like the sweet spot for me. Still have a 4k TV as supplimentary display for use with gamepad but don't use it a whole lot, although I do prefer it for 3rd person games like RD2 and Death Stranding.

![]() Obviously size is of preference. I think my perfect monitor is around a 38 ultrawide, OLED, 120+hz and gsync thrown in. Since there aren't going to be any OLED ultrawides for the foreseeable future the CX48 use pretty damn good. |

![]() LG announced a 32" 4k 'UltraFine OLED' at CES a few days ago but I think it's only 60hz. Hopefully this means higher refresh rate panels are on the horizon.
