Did you actually get to play some games and, if so, then what were your impressions? The demos look amazing, but how well did they run and at what resolutions? Any news on when the 8500DV will be released?

I myself only played Serious Sam which was running @ [email protected] with what looked like FSAA (couldn't see any jaggies but this is sometimes hard to tell on an LCD monitor) and it was running smooth as silk. The same resolution was used in the Tech Demo and that was also screaming along at a good old pace (a good 60+ I'd say). Release is pegged for November in the UK and probably mid October for the US.

The only dissapointment was that I'd forgotten to take a screwdriver with me

hey if the res is going along at a smooth pace, and what look slike FSAA is enabled, it looks as if that ATI has gotten that new revision of R8500 up and running.
And with good results.

Heh, thanks for sharing that pun CyberStoner - I had yet to have my morning smile until I saw that

Homer - do you know what revisions of the 7500 and 8500 those were? Were they the same boards that reviewers like Anand and Tom got or are those the latest silicone?

Thumbs down good chix, but...

Erotica island is a crap of a game. unless you are turned on by bad AVIs of bad 3d models pretending to shag.
But chix are good. in fact, the second best. First prize goes to some journalist chick i met at press office (works for Insert Coin - anyone familiar with that name?).
