Connor_Macleod is still being judged by the masses

Default 3.8's and Elite Force II

Ok, I have upgraded my drivers to CAT 3.8 and I have run into a problem. When I go into advance settings in the video setup (in the game options) section and enable AA and AF my video pretty much freezes and I have to Task Manager out of the program. Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Connor

This problem actually started in cat 3.7.

The fix for this is to go into the folder and delete the current settings/configuration file (Its a text file). Forgot the filename as I've deleted the game after finishing it.

After deleting it, just return the game and reconfigure all your settings back to normal and it should work.

One more thing that I just remembered, after deleting/ reconfiguring your settings, go back to advance settings and turn off the advance options (Should be 3 in there).

The .cfg file in EF2/base bares your Windows logon name.
I get the slow to freezing problem only if I enable the Anti Aliasing in the advanced options and only in 1600x1200. Just force the level of AA and AF in the drivers (instead of application preference) and you could leave the options in the game unchecked and the settings would still apply.

Ok, thanks for the help. I will enable it in the driver control panel instead of the game. Kind of enoying though, because it use to work.
