This is not a gay thread.

But seriously some examples of compact chairs with extra padding for home use will go a long way for me to improve health of my butt. Can you recommend some? Not looking for expensive products but rather comfortable products. Also don’t offer options that are only sold in US because that won’t work. Shipping a chair here will be a killer.

I don't have any recommendations other than 30 minutes of stretching and exercise a day. That did more for lower aches and pains than anything else for me.

completely depends on what you feel as "comfy" and of course for what period of time (daily use, 3, 4, 8, 9 hours?). Generally i'd be looking into office chairs instead of so called gaming-chairs. The cannucks did a good vid about that matter not too long ago, might have to look that up. Also "cheap" is always bad when it comes to chairs. I'd take a wild guess and say that you're looking for something at least in the $300-§400 range (and that is already _cheap_).

Personally i'd try to score a Herman Miller Aeron, they're awesome but might be hard to find a "cheap" one. They usually go for around ~650 up to 999

No this is for work. I split time between home and office. But some days I am on laptop for like 8 hours straight so need something that doesn’t kill my butt and back.

I have a box that I put my laptop on so I can stand and work at the same time. Also every time I need to piss I walk around the block just to get some extra oxygen to the nether regions. As Lazy8s said, exercise and stretching are probably the best ROI.

Otherwise, I have no suggestions on a chair. That La-z-boy looks fantastic though.

It may depend on what sort of pain. I'm onboard with a bit of exercise or stretching could actually fix the problem, but it seems like most of the time the chair is the cause, the pain is lower back related rather than in the butt (

)

If the pain is lower, maybe it's the contour of the chair padding, so you just have to find a pad that suits the change you need. Probably a regular flat cushion wouldn't make a big difference, but maybe a ring/wedge/contoured cushion of some sort could give you less pressure in the problematic places.

If you want to replace the chair you've got, I've been using a Hon Volt series chair (maybe available near you, I don't know). They're decently comfortable, but both of mine have started to squeak when you lean back after a little bit, sort of annoying, but $200 or so for the chair. I think they make some that are narrower and the brand seems to be decent for inexpensive office chairs.

I had hip replacement 11 years ago and I've been half-assed looking for a new chair.

This was helpful. The Steelcase chairs seem to be highly regarded but they are not cheap.

This chair on Amazon is cheap but has 4.5/5 stars with over 5,000 reviews.

Man, for the money that La-Z-Boy chair looks very good.
