shweeeeet! They really toned down the graphics though...but I doubt thats the highest quality. I like how they extended the draw distance though!

I doubt I will bother with this game. The trailer I saw looked DARN GOOD, but these screenshots look toned WAY down. Not only that, but the hud kinds turns me off to. It looks like its going to be pretty much the same as bf1942 in terms of gameplay. BF1942 was too arcade like for me. Not a true tactical shooter. But I'm shure a LOT of people will dig this game.

bf1942 is very tactical. I guess on pubs it isn't, but you should see some strats people have come up with in the actual competitve community. Is bf1942 realistic? No. Tactical? yes.

ROFLMAO. As of last summer the only GS editor with a decent reviewing rig was Bob Colayco; the rest had GeForce 4 ti 4200's or worse. For the most part the site and its staff have transitioned to consoles.

Yea the graphics in those pics pretty much look like BF1942, From what I understand BF2 is just using an enhanced version of the BF1942 graphics engine anyway. So if you are looking for uber graphics forget it, in fact if you get down to the nity gritty BF2 is nothing more than a technically enhanced BF1942 mod much like BFV is.

Still that won't stop me from buying and playing it though.

I feel ya, I just finished watching a handful of BF:V abd BF1942 vids in the video thread and it brought back memories

I hope BF2 will have sweet planes and bigger levels than BF:V did, BF:V's levels were a little small, couldn't fly my planes around as much as in BF1942.

Just think; bombing a buncha enemies and watching the ragdoll physics kick in

Well the good part is that it'll be playable for many people...

Anyway, look at the BFcon05 trailer and you'll see that BF2 is WAY ahead of BF1942.

Buy a better graphics card and you will be lovin' the PC version. Xbox is great but I prefer this type of game on PC.

Wow that looks HORRIBLE...Why did they tone down the graphics that much?
