Patched from Runic, game won't run now. Safe mode or normal. Just crashes in safe mode and hangs in normal mode and I force it to quit. ![]() |

Oh cool, got it working. Had to delete the one that was causing my issue, the potion stack size increase one. Hopefully they get a new one out soon. Saves on space! |

If you have vsync as an option in the settings menu you've been patched.

So I just died for the very first time at level 40 in the shadow vault (infinite dungeon), only to learn that it has no waypoint system and no means of returning to the level you were on without having to drudge through all the levels again. Thinking there was no way the devs would be that farking stupid I checked online only to learn that's the way it is. Ugh that's almost as bad as releasing a loot based rpg with no means of respeccing unless you install a mod to do so. No dev would be that stupid in this day and age right ? oh wait. Uninstalled. I got my money's worth though, it was fun while it lasted and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a fun and simple solo loot based hack and slash game to kill some time.

Enchanting doesn't work correctly so the patch is going to need a patch.

There's also quests which say "kill this Mob on X level", or "collect this item on X level" and the mob/item only spawns on that specific level - so its not like you can say "well just replay from the start every time, its infinite lol". As I mentioned in my post it was the very first time I died in the game, so I had no idea how the resurrection system worked. The cost of respawning on the same level, especially the lower levels is extremely exorbitant. Either way there's too many other games out there with a competent waypoint/save/fast-travel/quicksave/etc etc system, so I doubt I'll be getting back into this game. It's still worth the cost, it is indeed fun to play.

We are talking about the Shadow Vault, which has 0 waypoints. It saves your character. It does not save your character's progress in the Shadow Vault, unless you are either lucky enough to not die or have an *unused* town portal up *before* you die. Mobs respawn close to or at your character-level which means if you die on the 30th floor and res in town, you have to go through 29 fully respawned levels to get where you were before. The game really should have warned the player about this, I saw many complaints about it on the forums. There was no hint given by the game whatsoever you needed to cast an unused TP everytime you enter a new level. I guess it's a consequence of designing dungeons with tons of levels, instead of many dungeons with 2-3 levels as most other games.

Yeah, co-op or even multiplayer would be awesome. I'm now level 58 and died maybe 4 times, most of em cause i didn't payed enough attention to my hp which is as alchemist not that much. I do enjoy my minions going rampart, and ember-lancing full rooms of mobs. The only thing i miss in that game is the chance to get bigger inventory. I send my cat back to town every few rooms. As for the death-penalty, well, no problem so far for me. The few bucks you have to pay for getting rezzed right at the entrance of your current dungeon is a joke. I really dunno what's your problem with that. That being said, my two chests are completely overloaded with rares and set-pieces and of course with gems. The only annoyance is the fusion-part. But no big deal either. My char carries a 1h-axe with above 1k-base-dmg and a wand with lifesteal (more lifesteal than he has hp ^^) ![]() ![]()
