ATI Technologies Shall I go with the x1950 Pro?

I'm finally getting around to upgrading my PC. My P4 3.2 has finally died, may it rest in pieces.

My new box is an AMD 5600+ X2 on an XFX nvidia 590 mobo with 2gb DDR2. At the moment I'll be using my x600 until the funds become available to purchase the new vid card. At the moment I'm looking at an Asus x1950 Pro for $150ish from Newegg. I'm not all that concerned about DX10, I am running Vista Ultimate however, I just want great performance for the price. My limit is about $175. I don't forsee crossfire or SLI in my future.

Shall I stick with my choice of the x1950 Pro or look at something else?

Thanks!

The 1950 XT is much faster and this card is a very good deal.

However I just bought this card, much slower but cooler and quieter running. I think way more people would be better off with the other one but I was willing to sacrifice much speed to get a quieter/cooler card. For most people the 512MB is a waste but I actually benefit a lot from it for folding

I had to buy a card today because my x800XL died.
