Exclamation Tri-Fire performs worse than Crossfire in BF3 Eyefinity?

I have three unlocked 6950's that I am running in a tri-fire configuration. I'm currently running BF3 in Eyefinity at 5760x1080 resolution with a mixture of high-ultra settings. With this configuration, I average about 40-45 FPS in multi-player. However, I discovered that if I change my crossfire settings in CCC to only use 2 GPUs rather than 3, my FPS in BF3 on the exact same settings is now 50 - 60 FPS. What gives?

Is anyone else having the same problem? The tri-fire configuration seems to behave perfectly when benchmarking in 3DMark11 - usually scores around 12,600. I am currently running the 11.10 WHQL drivers with the 11.9 CAP4. I'm also using an Intel 2500k @ 4.6Ghz, so I can't imagine being CPU limited.

This is quite normal for multi-gpu systems. Benchmarks can (not always) shine with tri/quadfire setups while games suffer worse performance or show no performance improvement at all.

This type of issue is substantially reduced this generation. It tends to be more common of quad, rather than triple, crossfire. Respective of bf3? I'm having great scaling, especially at higher resolutions..maybe beef up your CPU clocks?
