Who else is a little bummed there is a noticeable performance difference in games between the PS5 and Xbox Series X so early on?

In what why are you bummed? I noticed that PS5 has less frame fluctuation but the series X has higher resolution in some games.

And that people are saying because the development kit for PS5 was available a year earlier than Xbox it has given them an advantage but that on Hitman 3 they used the newer Xbox kit so PS5 is 1800p 60fps solid and series X is 2160p with slight fluctuation in areas.

It does bum me that they both cant hold 4K at 60fps in every game and that ray-tracing is so demanding on next-gen.. (And you cant buy a PS5 or Series X that easy)

A lot of us were saying it months and maybe even a year before release. I'm not really sure what convinced people these miracle consoles could do it when PC hardware that was even more capable than they are...couldn't do it.

I'll be happy with "looks better than PS4 and plays smoothly". And the only 2 games I've really checked out are Spiderman and Demon's Souls and they look phenomenal. I'll be happy as heck with that. One day. When I can get a console lol.

That BC is nice. The PS5 covers almost my entire library, so between this and a PC I'm pretty well set. Well, I WILL be set once I can actually find one

Yeah I do like how you can play emulators on the xbox, if I didn't have a PC I'd have both consoles, but having a PC makes a xbox useless, which Is good for my wallet.

Rumours of PS5 hitting amazon in the next few days, so I'm waiting, but I want the discless version more because I never buy physical games, and it looks better, but I'll get whatever is available.

Not being funny but I always thought why would anyone buy a discless PS5 or Series S?? but you've just said you don't buy physical and my brother yesterday said he want a discless PS5 too so I am surprised.

I was wrong, but I just thought buying old games on disc second hand was a great way to enjoy your old games on the cheap especially playing all the Xbox games the BC on Xbox series X (Not S as that is discless too). but its the way of the future everything virtually stored no physical.

Definitely a better way to save money in the long run by buying second hand discs so you can get ripped off by companies selling 3 year old games for 40 bucks. But I think these days people are going for convenience more than anything. Not to mention the disc version of the PS5 is uglier than the digital one. I am going to get a digital

My problem with digital is the limited space of 1 GB. Without discs you always feel like you don’t want to delete the game. With disc it is more like, ok I am not playing this right now and need space so I will delete the one with the disc and reinstall it later.

Also with discs I am able to recoup costs of games. With digital it all goes to crap. Most new games that I want to finish only cost me like 10-15 bucks as I recoup the bulk of cost back within the first 1-2 months of playtime.

yeah 1 Gb would be pretty limiting

I don't have any discs, or blurays so digital would suit me fine.

i can understand both, i already hate changing the fiddly mini-sd's at the Switch. The downside of pure digital is that you are bound to buy at the stores (ps-store/ nintendo-store and so on) at sometimes ridiculous prices, also no selling of used games. It's very rare for me to buy something at full price, so there's that.

As for the PS5, well, i'm not completely sure which one i would get, but most certain the one with a disc-drive because money....

That's a good point once these console are digital only you won't be able to buy cheap off of a friend or work colleagues. You'll be trapped in there eco system they can charge what ever the market will dictate with no other choices other than to move to a competitor's maybe inferior console if there prices are more reasonable

The counter to that point is that if you have a friend who has equally no life/budget constraints, as yourself. i.e. me and my sister

Then you can buy one copy on xbox/switch/ps5 and play them on two systems on seperate accounts at the same time.

So if you wait 2 months like nearly all games on playstation, they will be 33% sale, and then you split the cost 50% and you get a game for like 30 euro each.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the disc version myself as well. Not only would it give me a 4k disc player, but it's nice having the option of looking for deals on games, whether used or otherwise. Sometimes you can get some cheap obscure disc games that never seem to go on sale in any marketplace digitally. I mean, I've seen some that are routinely 20 bucks or so for months when the digital that never goes on sale is still 60. Just gives me more options.

Yeah many games on the consoles use a mix of high textures and low/medium everything else depends on the game.

You get what you pay for, machines are good for their price but they were never going to fight against machines 2-3x their price.

I want a ps5 for its exclusives and that's about it.

Yeah, no complaints on the PS5 after seeing that video. It looks great.

I fully plan on getting a PS5 for the exclusives again, like I did the PS4 Pro. Will likely wait a couple years though until there are more games and I can buy them 2nd hand cheaper.
