Probably one of the strangest (and definitely the most profane) shooters from the 90s.

I bought the original from GOG several years ago and enjoyed it from start to finish. I think the most unique feature of the gameplay is how you can pay random NPCs to tag along with you and act as personal bodyguards. The real draw, though, is the strange setting and atmosphere. There's a ton of bad language (F-bombs galore), characters have this crazy visual style where their bodies look like they're morphing/crawling, and the environments are mostly dark and ambient (I recall the game being set almost exclusively at night). It's like some sort of tripped out gangster nightmare... just wacky and intriguing as hell.

Doesn't look all that enhanced to me. Yet another money grab looks like, doing just enough to run on modern systems.

A real good example of a remaster is Battlezones 1 and 2 from last year.

Yeah, this.^^

This is a totally half assed reboot. I wouldn't pawn it for a dolla.

Isn't that vertex swimming? A common thing with quake 2 engine games?

It was, you had to be careful when animating the models to avoid it if I remember correctly.
