If we could get a solid confirmation it was coming to the PC I will wait for that definitive version. I waited on GTAV to hit PC before I even looked at anything GTAV even though I really wanted to play it.

Console version will only do 30 FPS. However, I did buy X1X to play this game on release. I may double dip if necessary.

Yeah, but it's not going to have a PC equavelent of "Very High/Ultra" which does make a visual difference. Just look at GTAV PC vs consoles.

I'd rather wait one year and play on PC if that's what they're doing for RDR2, I can't see myself buying an xbox for just 1 game.

Don’t see the difference from the Xbox One X being that huge from the PC, definitely not worth waiting a year for.

I think people have not seen graphics on the new consoles. Only idiot PC users keep saying that the new set of consoles have crappy graphics. I am playing Forza 7 on the X1X and it looks fantastic compared to the PC.

MS does not seem to mind giving the edge to the pc version of their first party titles so far, gears, forza horizon and state of the decay both have a higher level of detail and runs better than the xbx version.

Forza 7 is basically the only title that is more or less equal to the pc version.

Athena and twonha thanks for replies.

It's weird to think that RS botches their code at all. First it was GTA3 and GTA4 on PC then RDR on consoles... (Ok so they weren't as big when they made GTA3. Also, I still maintain that although GTA4 was improved eventually, it still was never very well optimised.)

I'll play RDR 1 at some point on an actual console, and I won't be too bothered by it....

Probably, PC HDR support in windows 10 is buggy and game support sporadic at best. The monitors are just now coming put and to get a good G-Sync HDR screen third the size I play my PS4 and Xbox X on will cost me 2 grand the Asus Swift. I did that with GTA5, but mostly because the Xbox 360 experience wasn't satisfactory. Low resolution and low frame rate, for a game I wanted to spend more time on - I chose to do that on PC.

RDR2 probably looks the part on a PS4 Pro and runs good enough, so I doubt I'll double dip this time around.
