Im looking to get a job, and im not sure what minumum wage in ontario is for a 14 year old. does anyone here know?

If you "know" people I am sure you can get a job.

When i was working as a student of the custodial arts, they had an 8th grader working there. So I assume It might not be a problem.

I had a friend who when he was in Grammer school, worked as an ref for children's soccer games.

Lets put it this way.

You cant work "legally" until you are atleast 16 or over.

I did a local paper route from grade 5 to grade 10. I worked as a cousellor at a summer camp in grade 10. I also did the soccer reffing thing summers of grade 9 and grade 10. It's stressful, but the per-hour pay is pretty sweet. (like $15 for a 45 minute game)

When I was 15, I had a hell of a time even getting a call back, let alone an interview. As soon as I turned 16 though the job interviews came rolling in, and now one year later I still work at McDonalds.

minimum wage in the states depend on the state you're in. It's 6$/hr in NY and it's going up to 7.15 by 2007.

Also you will need a SIN number. If you don't have one, a employeer can't legally hire you. Make sure you get one ASAP.
