I dont get why they cant update things in the driver in a simpler way for such small changes... Couldnt it be just a game profile?

Did some digging and they where called Catalyst Application Profiles, shorted CAP and followed by number, preceded by wich driverversion they added to (i.e "AMD Catalyst Application Profile 12.9 CAP1"). The downloads where a lot smaller than full set drivers.

Why they stopped with that I don't know. Maybe it was an found as an uncertain method to inject code in the driver, and could easily be cracked and misused?

Ah these crash for me every time in Apex, but man they are faster in DX12 for Fortnite and no issues in anything else.

If I remember correct the CAPS where stopped because it started to get confusing to grab the "latest driver" and then also have to drop the latest CAPS.
