Angry IE8 Hangs constantly in WinXP

I support about 180 users and recently, WSUS has pushed-out a load of IE8 updates. Users are complaining of hang issues in XP but Vista is fine.
If you're experiencing hang problems in IE8 with XP, uninstall the following updates (Start > Run > Appwiz.cpl Tick "Show Updates"):

KB975364
KB674455
KB976749

I'm not sure exactly which one, but I have a feeling it's something to do with compatibility view updates.

Hope this helps.

Would this work in Windows 7? My girlfriend uses IE8 and it often hangs in the Most Important Site Of Them All (TM), Facebook (TM) (C).

[edit] Ok, it won't work, because I don't have those updates.

Yeah, I think it's different for 7, you have to actually install an update: KB970858.
That should solve your problem.
