Thanks for your reply.

I did first ordered a Sapphire, but I changed it for a Hercules.

Thumbs up

I'd have to say Hercules also...

I don't know about Sapphire, but with herucles you get a powered by ATI Card, I had an 8500 from Hercules and I had trouble with getting the ATI driver to work sometimes, and you can forget getting it to work with Linux unless you flash the bios to be built by.

rockandchelle,

I see, you own a Ati 9800 Pro already, do you like your card so far ????

I saw in a review (Hercules), that you can overclock it very well also.

Yeah, I love it. It was a huge jump from the 8500. Now, the only thing that is holding me back is my CPU. I am upgrading to an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe next week. So that will probably help a little with the dual channel ram. My next step after that is probably a faster processor.

As for overclocking, I really haven't tried to yet. I want to get some ramsinks first. So, I am going to wait on that for a little while.

I have a Pentium 4 2533 mhz, with a Asus P4S533 mainboard.

And 512 DDR 333 from Samsung.

I hope this is good enough for a 9800 Pro ????

hansje

rockandchelle, thanks for the reply.
