Default Apple Battery Case

http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/8/98...t-battery-case

Quote:
Apple's iPhones have long been a source of battery anxiety, with third-party battery cases easing these worries by offering extra juice when you need it. Now, Apple has unveiled its own Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, quietly posting the product on its online stores (as spotted by Pocket Lint). The case costs $99 and Apple says it extends the iPhone's battery life to up to 18 hours of internet usage on LTE networks, up to 20 hours of video playback, and as much as 25 hours of increased talk time.

That looks awful. My 6s+ battery hasn't left me needing anything like that.

When I went from the 5s to the 6, I noticed the battery doesn't seem to last as long. Apparently they want to make another $99 for each phone, so you can use it all day.

Either way, you should have spent the extra $100 on the Plus versions.

I don't buy the phones, they're provided by work. If I were buying one, I would definitely get the plus model.

Missing the obligatory 2lb Otterbox over the battery case over the svelte iPhone 6.

How does the antenna in the case work? I don't understand how it connects to the phone.

They must not be proud of the case cause they usually announce accessories with new phones.

I'd say we stop obsessing with making thinner and thinner phones and just put some beefier batteries in phones that make them easily last 2-3 days of regular use

I could probably manage 2 days out of my iPhone with my use patterns... well, maybe 2 work days, 36hrs or so, without charging.

Bigger battery == longer usage.

It's simple maths.

To that equation, figure out if you want a device that lasts you all day and then some, or something that will barely make it through the day. Apply your value to this convenience and see if that exceeds the price difference.

If it doesn't, stick with what you have. If it does, it's an easy decision.

that case looks so dumb it's almost funny, on the other hand if you look at their pen and mouse-charging-"idea" it's not that much funny, seems more like a trend if you like to call it that. Kinda mind-boggling to see that there are still people who seem to be just fine with it (and, of course, buy this sh*t).
