![]() So things didn't go well at the appointments yesterday. Have another scheduled for next week. Nothing has changed basically. But at this point its not going to kill me and I am reluctant to do surgery if it isn't. I will know more of the surgical options next week but it could be months before I do the surgery even if I do it. Saw Phsyciatrist/Therapist/Councilor/Whatever right after. As she explained that finding someone this day in age is a lot more difficult then it used to be. She even said Women are just crazy now, especially in my age group. Coming from her that's just strange. But as she explained coupled with your situation at work and at home and now with the diagnosis it will be difficult. Gave me some **** to read and to make attainable goals and work on self motivation blah blah blah. I just have no drive to do anything anymore. Nothing I do makes me happy at all. Got home, mom immediately told me that I blame her for my situation. Can't see how. All night screaming and yelling is all I heard. Got no sleep again, only about 2 hours....

![]() From what you've told us you have a toxic environment at home and at work. You need a major life change, IMHO.

![]() I'm sorry man but you have got to make a major change eventually. You can't keep doing the same things and expecting different results; your family has done this for a while and so has the job.. |

![]() Well I know a guy who's not even 40 and he woke up with no use of his arms, because of the spinal fluid build up. They ended up having to drill a hole in his skull and install an automatic drain. He says it's the best he's felt in years and his mood has really changed. I feel for you, but hopefully they can fix whatever is wrong, and it gives you a good place to start from.

![]() First, thoroughly check the literature about those medications that you took (are taking?), you wouldn't believe how much serious non written **** happens from prescribed meds. If you're still taking it, write me a PM, maybe I can help. You seem to fear cancer/ tumors but if you had it and was non malignant/ treatable, you could get better and avoid surgey maybe? Stupid wildguess here just to show that it's too early to despair imo. Your attitude towards surgery is correct, I had MRI that was read wrong both by the technician writing the report and by the specialist. Sometimes, health isues emerge from dumbest causes like drinking too much milk or resting the knee wrong or whatever. Take second (and third if necessary) opinion, weigh your options and ofc you can always do it. Keep in mind that while its best to avoid surgery if possible, most people get better from those medical procedures and you can have complications from eating salad. Ignore the girls atm, start going to the mountains maybe? Not mt Logan or sth heh but some easy trails, low/ medium intensity workout in nature works wonders for body and mind, nothing better to clear the mind for sure and I checked all the options in life heh. Ask the doctor first though, might be a problem with raising pressure in the head but tbh, there is no condition that allows you to work but doesn't allow you to take a light trek.

![]() I see a specialist today. Taking a half day at work and I'm going to treat myself to a nice lunch beforehand. Brought all the medication with me for them to go over. Will be going over treatment and surgical options. Again if it's not going to kill me and it's not going to get worse I may choose to just deal with the pain. That said last Friday the headache was so bad when I got home after work laid down in bed and past out. Kept getting up every hour not due to the pain, I just wake up. Family kept checking on me to make sure I was still alive. And that was pretty much my weekend. Then the lady friend that took off too the UK showed up. Yep, like I guessed she lasted 3 weeks ish instead of 4 months. Said she made a mistake , told her to **** off. Headaches been pretty bad this morning. Unfortunately it's like -69c right now. I took my monster rig apart and cleaned everything out. It's been relaxing doing that. I might build an AMD system now just for the hell of it. Thinking a 3800x, 32gb ram and a 5700.

![]() So yesterday the owner fired an employee, like a week before the holidays.... The office manager and I said that was a dick a move. Could've waited until after the holidays to do that... The psycho hasn't been seen now for a week and a half, no phone call or anything. She stopped off yesterday at 4:00pm to pickup the random guy she is ****ing from the company downstairs and we were all like WTF? The last new hire we hired back in June hasn't been seen for 2 weeks. Again no phone call or anything. Came to pickup a pay cheque yesterday and wished us a Merry Christmas and left. My headache is pretty bad today, constant non-stop pain instead of the periodic sharp pain... Still haven't got a date on the CT Scan... Wasn't a very good weekend either, especially when trying to get Christmas shopping done and I'm constantly in pain.

![]() Nah, I first started off with Tylenol cold and Sinus, tried Advil cold and Sinus, then Reactine Allergy and Sinus. Because they thought it was a sinus infection. I then move on to Tylenol 4, but that had no effect and couldn't even knock me out. I'm now on Torredal??? I think that's what its called and it does sweet **** all. I have a high tolerence for pain and pain meds, I am up to 3 sleeping pills now recommended by my doctor and that has no effect on me, doesn't even make me drowsy. I'd rather deal with the periodic sharp pains rather then the slow constant burn I'm having now.

I've noticed it's a lot about environment. In order for me to fall asleep, even on melatonin or sleeping pills, I need to have no lights on, no distractions (tv, PC, etc) and definitely no phone. I need silence. I've tried earplugs, but they're kind of uncomfortable since I'm a side-sleeper. I also use a herbal tea that is vitamin packed. It's called Sleepy Time Tea. I would try that as well. It doesn't have melatonin in it, but what I'll do is take 2 5mg Melatonin while the water is getting to a boil, and then drink my tea while I finish the last episode of my show or whatever game I'm playing, and then hop in bed once I'm done with my tea. It helps relax the body and it's also really healthy for you. I could go find the brand name and everything if you're interested. I know you're suffering from pain and that's why it may be hard to sleep, but sometimes more natural alternatives can work, and if the pills are barely working (if you're taking 3, then that's not only not healthy but they also aren't working) then might be worth trying something else. Melatonin pills are natural as it's a substance that's already in your body. |

![]() Melatonin also works better for me than man made chemical sleeping pills. I got a low dose at Walgreens and then just took as more and more pills until I found the amount that popped me off to blissful sleep. Once my evil boss died of cancer and the stress was gone I had no need for the pills anymore. ^_^

![]() The CBD may not have worked for sleeping. But THC sure can do a great job. So might want to try an edible or oil. Then aim for around 10Mg if your not exactly used to how it may affect you. I have a number of family members that suffer from chronic pain and it has helped immensely.

The Melatonin I was taking 40mg and it did nothing to keep me asleep or help me stay asleep. I am going to stop taking the sleeping pills as they've done nothing but give me severe dry mouth.... The pain was so severe today I was shaking at work....

![]() Taking 40mg is too much. When something doesn't work that doesn't mean just start shoveling more down. Again, good sleep requires an environment that promotes it. |

![]() Rough times indeed. Your workplace does not sound like a healthy environment, but if there is nothing else I guess you have to do what you have to do. Headaches and nose bleeds must be quite scary, especially since their doesn't seem to be consensus on the cause. Take it easy. Maybe take some time off and do something you'd enjoy. Stress does cause real physical symptoms if it goes for too long. |

![]() I have no electronics in my room anymore. Took them all out months ago. Bought black out curtains so the room is pitch black. I do keep one thing in my room though, my cell but its 20ft away as I use it for an alarm.
