Ah, ok. Thanks for the warning. If something pops up, I'll have a quick fix.

When I tested AC Origins, it kicked on and off automatically with the software switch in the settings. I left it on when I closed the game, and it was back to normal on the desktop and my monitor info said the screen was no longer in HDR. So, it seems like it worked...that time.

Yeh it says HDR off automatically and all that, and desktop looked fine, but when I went to play another game all the shadows were too dark with crushed blacks. May not be an issue with the GN, but it's a simple fix just in case.

I leave HDR disabled when using windows/playing normal games.

The local dimming zones can get wonky in non-hdr content, making thing look washed out unless you turn them off.

I wish that MS would just let you have HDR disabled at desktop and just let HDR enabled dx12 games work the same way as dx11 HDR titles.

The speaker is the exact same distance away.

But..I accidentally left my flashlight on the desk right in front of that speaker. I'm sure that's what you're seeing. I was going to upload another photo, but I was being lazy.

I was hoping nobody would notice. You guys are good.

Surprised you don't use scanlines, makes old games look instantly more detailed.

I played around with the different settings on the AVS, and the minimal scan lines DID look good. But I found I preferred the clean look without them.

Yeah scanlines are a personal preference.

I like them. Some 8-bit sprites just don't look right without them.

Decided I had one more complaint after owning this monitor a short while, and it's the bezels. Or rather, "the lack of". They advertise as their zero bezel design type, but it's total marketing fluff. I mean, it's true that there is no actual plastic bezel, but you still have a huge 1/2" black border around the top and sides of the screen. So what was the point?

Minor nitpick, but it's completely ridiculous IMO. In my post #214, you can see what I'm talking about. That's not a plastic bezel around the screen, that's a black border on the screen itself.

Decided to play around with different resolutions today to see how flexible it might be if a particular game might be hard to run at native res, 3840x1600.

Tested 2560x1440 and 3440x1440. They both work well with this larger display. My desktop is always just black with no icons, so I set it to Borderless Window in the settings and set that res and it's perfect. Bars on the sides or top, but the display is still big enough that it's really not a big deal.

So I basically have 3 different resolutions to game at that are comfortable to use, if needed. This thing is great.
