I'm hoping the card turns out more like your pics....but I have lost my faith in Crocop and I think in a 3 round fight, Cain stays on top, stays busy and outpoints Nog.....love the rape choke.....

Agreed.

My Pride in Pride will never die.

Most faith in Nog and Wand, notso much in Mirko anymore. But in that order same order Nog has the biggest challenge, then Wand and finally Cro Cop.

I think Cain has a big future at HW but a healthy Nog is a nasty opponent. Bisping is a gatekeeper, as is Wand -- difference is: Wand carries a bigger, angrier stick.

Hoping the Lytle fight will be aired on free TV. Is Sinosic actually training full time, or has he been brought in to job again? He has some serious talent, but training part time just doesn't cut it.

He did give Bisping a scare not too long ago if I do recall.
And anyways, he's brought in to fight another Australian that he apparently lost to earlier in his career. Apparently it left some bad blood.

Yea, he lost to Haseman in 1997 LOL, "Chin to Eye" submission. There are a few aussies on the card.

Nahh, a fighter is not to stop until the ref steps in. Ref was to blame if you consider that finish overkill.

That was a fight with higher than usual bad blood/trash talk going on between the two. Hendo was both praised and criticized for the extra oomph on that last shot. For the most part, fighters display the utmost class to each other after a fight.

Why is everyone so sure Silva will win? When he was 205 it didnt look like he had a lot of fat on him so he must have given up muscle to get to 185. Not saying Silva will lose or that Bisping is great, just that he (Silva) might not be the same fighter at 185 power wise.

Cause we love him.

Wanderlei is much better at 185 -- not big enough for the new era of 205. The guy is a warrior that wades in swinging hooks of death. A warrior in victory and defeat -- he loves to fight for his fans. One of my favourite fighters of all time. He is in the twilight of his career but still a huge threat to anyone 185-205.

You're probably right that Silva will win and I agree that he's a great fighter to watch. He is also probably the first fighter I followed and the one most responsible for getting me semi-interested in mma (still only a casual fan). All I meant is that the fight might not be the forgone conclusion that a Silva vs a Bisping level fighter at 205 would have been a couple of years ago.

I am not saying Wand "will" take the W -- Bisping is a much more intelligent fighter that could easily beat him in points if he gets on his bicycle or scores a takedown.

But I see what you are saying.

Yea, I am more choked about Rothwell -- he could have given Mirko a good fight, now they replaced him with some duster from Oz. Also a bad fight for Mirko cause if he wins, he was supposed to, if he loses his fate is sealed.

It makes me uncomfortable watching him fight -- I think he gets a bad rap too, great guy and talented but I hate his style.

In addition to that, Bader is a monster and is going to tear him apart.

I always liked Jardine, but his chin has accumulated a lot of miles in the last few years and there are serious concerns about how much more he can take. He's been put to sleep 3 times since May of 2007 as well as taking some heavy abuse from Rampage last year.

Bader has heavy hands and his striking is improving. Another knockout will probably be the end Jardine.

Bollocks, Hendo said he hit the late blow on purpose to 'teach him a lesson' didn't he?

Anyway, I think Bisping/Wand could be a good fight. Wand has gotten his ass kicked in what, 5 of his last 6? Wand will swing for the rafters hoping for a KO, Bisping will counter and go for a striking decision or for a TD and GnP. Either way, should be a good fight. To be honest I was rooting for them both equally but after all the hate Bisping's been getting I wouldn't be shedding a tear if he retires Wand.

Other than that, I'm hoping Nog anacondas Cain and Mirko doesn't die. Also rooting for Sotiropoulos, I really hope he can pull off the upset.

Yeah. Well he's not getting any younger, he's still not properly adapted to the cage and he is going to the fight with his eye/brow having fresh stitches.

He's still a legend though.

Lesson or not, ref wasn't there -- fighters are told not to stop unless told otherwise.

RE: Wand losses:

1) Franklin -- nothing to be embarassed about, and it was close.
2) Quinton --Who he had destroyed twice before.
3) Liddell -- another decision and great war.
4) Hendo -- Who unlike Bisping, Wand had beaten in the past.
5) Mirko -- Much larger man in his prime, Japanese freakshow fight.

Name one of those that wouldn't destroy Bisping as bad or worse than Hendo did. Lets not say, "ass kicked 5 out of 6 fights" -- those 6 fights were against elite guys. Bisping has been fed mediocre opponents for years, and when they throw a ranked opponent in his direction it usually ends badly. Bisping has left a bad taste in my mouth for a couple years now -- arrogant prick comes to mind. Him talking smack about Hendo then getting laid out like a futon was epic.

Could he beat Wand? Sure he could, get on the defensive, backpedal and counter with pillows or score a td like you said and hope for a successful GnP.

Do I want to see The Count get rapechoked? More than you know.

RE: Mirko, Nog and George -- agreed.

Well, they're not in the same division but sure they're mostly top guys but saying Mike wouldn't beat them doesn't mean much when Wandy couldn't beat them either. Gussy it up however you want Trebek, Wandy is 1-4 in the UFC.

Bisping has been fed mediocre opponents for years, and when they throw a ranked opponent in his direction it usually ends badly.
Come on now, that's a bit of an extrapolation. He had a split decision loss over the guy who then nearly killed Chuck before soon after becoming the LHW champ, then he won 3 before losing to a guy who was a double Pride belt holder. Oh and lest we forget that most of these mediocre opponents he beat to hell were guaranteed to beat him.

*cough*

Bisping has left a bad taste in my mouth for a couple years now -- arrogant prick comes to mind. Him talking smack about Hendo then getting laid out like a futon was epic.
Meh. Bisping talks no more, and often less, **** than 90% of other fighters. Look at the press conference - Bisping goes on about how much he respects Wandlerei etc and what he's accomplished, Wandy goes on about "Oh, I hate him, I'll kick his ass" and when asked why "uhhh..no-one like him, so I don't like him either". and what was the result of the press conference? OMG BISPING IS SUCH A DISRESPECTFUL DICK!!.

Meh, good sir. Meh.

Well Mr. Bean, Bisping hasn't always been at 185 either, you know that. Wand is in the twilight of his career, Bisping is peaking -- thats the difference. Look at Bisping's last ten opponents and compare them to Wand's. Its common knowledge he has been fed cans for years, just look at his roster of opponents. His win against Kang was impressive but he pulled that win out of his a$$ -- he was getting worked.

And regarding his trash talking -- of course he cleaned up his act, he is one of the most hated athletes in MMA and trying to change his image.

I hope for a good fight, should make for some good trash talking between us tomorrow night.
