Thumbs up Need a router.

Trading in my xfinity modem. So I'm looking to get a new modem and router. My pc will be wired but I have 4 people streaming on wifi. Any suggestions? Budget is about 150.00 for router. Thanks

I'm not aware of any docsis 3.1 wireless router/modem combos.

Netgear makes this if you're on a slower plan.

You could go with a 3.1 modem, and get a wireless ap, but that's going to go past your $150 budget in a hurry.

I just bought this one a few days ago when it was $62 from Amazon. Can be had for cheaper from Fleabay.

Edit: Well came home to a router that already needed to be reset on this one, Downloaded a DD-WRT build, lets see how this one works. Bleh! The Asus with a custom firmware I had never crashed.

My recommendation would be to get a used or discount C7 Archer and put DD-WRT on it.

Updates forever.

or Netgear R7800. I have one and I have OpenWRT installed on it. But i know OpenWRT isn't for everyone since DD-WRT is supposed to be friendly user though.
