It's been a common request directed at Ubisoft for like a decade now, and they've always ignored it. I have a feeling their researchers/accountants did some internal number crunching and it showed that other locales will sell more so they avoided the oriental countries.

Saw this pic on the Nioh sub, and one of the comments was "Ubisoft is probably glad other devs are making these games so they stop getting requests for an AC Japan game."
